Eric DeCosta interviewing with the Bears
John Clayton is on an Indy station talking Colts gm search he said "it looks like DeCosta is going to the Bears"
Said they both want each other. DeCosta wants Chicago and Chicago has mutual interest.
Clayton on ESPN 1000 says DeCosta is actually interviewing with the Bears today!

This would be like Ted Phillips and George McCaskey getting their Theo.
If this works out, this quickly I will have a new found respect and appreciation for Ted and George.

De Costa is at the top of most everyone's list right now. The article I read this AM about the GM search said that whoever can pry De Costa away from the Ravens has pulled off the best coup in the GM sweepstakes. It's good to see them shooting for the moon right out of the gate. If they can land him that would be the front office equivalent of our signing Julius Peppers as a player.
I'm getting to that age where a lifetime warranty just doesn't mean as much to me anymore as an afternoon nap.

But seriously now...if we pull this off...i pray to Allah, Jehovah, Vishnu and the Flying Spaghetti Monster that they let him have full reign to make the decisions HE wants. If the only caveat is that Lovie is in place for 2012, but Eric is allowed to make EVERY other decision he wants...that would be awesome.
