Just a thought...
Since Mike Martz is no longer our OC would you trade Johnny Knox to the Panthers for Greg Olsen?

I can't see that trade working out unfortunately. Shockey was a 1 yr deal and Olsen is Carolina's foreseeable future at TE.
But I would trade Knox + 1st rd pick to move up in the draft to get a Blackmon, Flyod or Jeffery. Would probably need to move up to 10-15 range to get one of them.
None of my posts on this forum have been aided by the use of deer-antler spray...

Knox is 100% to even play again. He shouldnt be in ANY of our plans in the near future.

It's impossible to get Blackmon because the Rams will select him with their 2nd pick overall. Jeffery is a Top 10 pick and that's why Michael Floyd is probably the only big name WR the Bears could land in the first round.

Come on. Knox was a huge disappointment this season. He's got speed and that's it. He can't run routes correctly and is not a posession receiver. He's just a replaceable #2 receiver that played like #3 this season.

If we wanted to spend 2 picks on him, sure, but we would HAVE to have an o-line that couldn't be stopped by injuries. I think we need to pick up 1 top guy in the draft, and go for a reliable one in FA.

As much as I'd like Blackmon we're probably not gonna get him. We need more than a drafted wr a vet WR like Jackson if he's affordable or something comparable. Knox could have been developed more but having Drake as wr coach is a hinderance. With Drake still here any drafted wr have a extra hurdle to overcome.
Arguing on the internet is like winning the special olympics, even if you win your still messed up.

@ littlebear, i think we are on the same page in relation to knox.
@sfb, i want a vet too, but i would like to see a rookie with a better skill set than what we currently have. We need a clean slate at wr, besides Bennett, and if we could get both Floyds, I'd be happy.

Oops, I read "he should" instead of "he shouldn't"... Sorry. ^^

CBSsports.com projects Floyd to go with the 13th pick. Maybe the Bears can really get him.
Draft Michael Floyd in the first and A.J. Jenkins (Illinois) in the fourth round, sign Dwayne Bowe and maybe we can even trade Johnny Knox for a 3rd or 4th round pick.
Bowe, Floyd, Bennett, Jenkins. We would be set for years at WR.
