This is a laughable joke, and if this is what it's going to be w/Lovie(as much as I respect him as a coach) then he needs to be fired, along w/Ted Ruskell, Tice, Rod, and the rest of the staff. Virginia(as crude as it is) cannot die soon enough so that the team is sold.
Apparently Jeff Dickerson is on ESPN 100 this morning and he says that interviews should start this week and later in the week when teams start travelling for the games and the front office is not busy.

honestly, Im done watching this team, or at least caring if they win or lose, if Ruskell gets hired. Seriously. This organization is a complete joke and its TRUE that the McCaskeys dont care about winning.

this is what people need to start doing (i know it wont happen) but they need to stop watching and stop going to games. hit them in the only place they care ... their pocketbooks. when the McCaskey finally feel that the bears are not profitable they will sell the team.

Someone from another site,
"Just heard on the Score there simply isn't a lot of interest out there for this job and the Bears are really miffed about it. They are very upset McKenzie wouldn't even return a call."
This is contrary to what we have been hearing from most media people that there is not a lot of interest.

If true, we are ****ed very hard from behind.
if there is no interest, throw money at them to make it better

It is a scary thought, and does not totally shock me, but for now I have to assume that Peter King and John Clayton have better sources than the guys at the Score.

There probably WAS alot of interest....before the Bears decided to make all the GM decisions before we even have a GM in place. Now...any potential candidate is coming in with his hands cuffed.
Look at it honestly....besides the draft and FA, what changes can a new GM make? Whoever our GM is gonna be, he will be nothing but an overpaid talent scout.

Yippee is all I can say that we could waste yet another year of our "franchise QB" to indecision and system changes. Let's face it this team loves playing for Lovie because he just laughs and doesn't yell. I'm convinced we won't see major change until Lovie is gone, a potential GM probably knows the relationship Lovie has with players and doesn't want to come anywhere near that love triangle. Would have to take Lovie leaving and players going with him to see a fresh start.
