Good we got Toub back in the fold so now get this guy hired so he can start working on re-signing some of our Free Agents. Times a wasting.

Chargers' Raye interviews for Bears GM job - chicagotribune.com
The Bears are expected to interview Marc Ross, the director of college scouting for the New York Giants, on Wednesday. Phil Emery, the director of college scouting for the Kansas City Chiefs, and Tim Ruskell, who has been the Bears’ director of personnel for the past two seasons, also are expected to interview this week.

@mikecwright Is there any word on how the Raye interview went? Is there a leader in the clubhouse according to your sources?
@DarrylConrad Not going there yet, but 1 high ranking official on another team said he'd go w/Emery over the other guys.
Emery to me is not exactly what I want in a new GM, but I would way rather have Emery that Ruskell.
Again Raye and Ross are #1 to me, but Emery is better than Ruskell.

What should you call any : Fumble , Hold , Interception , Three and out , or Sack ?
A " F.H.I.T.S " ? or a J'Marcus ?

My best guess is that Marc Ross will get the job. In my opinion, his philosophy on offense is more in line with that of Lovie Smith. Lovie likes to run the football, and Ross, who with the Giants has always been blessed with a great offensive line, good running backs, and has picked up good wide receivers in the draft in the past in the form of Manningham, Nicks, and Cruz. He also has picked up good defenders such as Jason Pierre-Paul. Lovie will want someone who will accommodate his weaknesses as a talent evaluator as well as conform and further the agenda of the strengths of his defenses, namely a good, solid defensive player, for which the Giants are noted. I see Jimmy Raye as a great candidate too, but as time has passed and their draft picks have come later and later in each round, the Chargers simply haven't drafted as well or have had as many effective players picked.
Ross is with a ball club that consistently finishes at or near the top of its division along with the Philadelphia Eagles and thus has later draft picks. He has proven to be a good evaluator of talent in that portion of each round. Remember that Hakeem Nicks was a late-first round pick and he's now a 1,000 yard receiver. Remember that Mario Manningham is a solid WR and he wasn't taken until the third round. Lastly, remember that Victor Cruz was an UDFA, yet he was one of the leading receivers in the league this year with over 1,500 yards. That's why I think he will wind up with the job. The Bears will not regret hiring him.
Scary Thought....
Out of the GM candidates that will be interviewed Ruskell is the only interviewee with any GM experience. Are the Bears just simply putting on a show to the fans by bringing outsiders in to hear other perspectives (that could be used) and then announce Ruskell as the new GM while using the line of "he's the only 'qualified' candidate for the job"
... I hope its not true, but this was brought to my attention today by a friend.

#Bears announce they interviewed Phil Emery today for the GM position. He is currently the Kansas City Chiefs Director of College Scouting.

#Bears are interviewing Phil Emery today to wrap up five candidates. I do not expect a quick decision.
