    Bears finish 1st round of GM interviews - chicagotribune.com

    It is possible the Bears will conduct more interviews next week, either with new candidates or with candidates who have already interviewed once.

    Well it looks as thought the new GM will not be Raye: Kip Lewis tweeted; Chicago Bears may have made a decision on next GM. Chargers Jimmy Raye was notified by Bears he is no longer a candidate

    Well, as conservative as the Bears' front office is, that apparently takes care of their token minority applicant. I'm not saying that we should have hired him based on that, but he did have the best draft day reputation of any of the potential applicants. All things considered, Raye may have been the best man for the job.
