Bears Mock Offseason Jan 19th
Free Agents
WR Stevie Johnson [Buffalo] 5 years 32 million/15 guaranteed
Johnson might be a little inconsistent, but he has the size [6'2"] and ability that the Bears need to be a #1 WR.

CB Brandon Carr [Kansas City] 5 years 25 million/12 guaranteed
The Bears need to add a starting CB and Carr has the size and physical style that the Bears need.

LB Tavares Gooden [San Francisco] 2 years 4 million/2 guaranteed
The Bears continue to add to the defense and the Bears are desperate for LB depth. Gooden has been miscast in 3-4 defenses.

Re-signings
RB Matt Forte [5 years 40 million/21 guaranteed]
A must resign and the most dynamic playmaker that the Bears have.
QB Josh McCown [2 years 2 million]
Where was he at the beginning of the season.
TE Kellen Davis [1 year 2 million/1 guaranteed]
Give him another year to show that he has some value, but the Bears need to get more dynamic.
DE Israel Idoinje [2 years 6 million/ 2 guaranteed]
Idonije might not be the pass rusher that the Bears need across from Peppers he is a great run stuffer and a perfect rotational player.
CB D.J Moore [4 years 10 million/5 guaranteed]
Perfect for the defense and a true take away machine he should be resigned for the top level of what a nickel CB gets.
CB Corey Graham [3 years 6 million/3 guaranteed]
A valuable special teamer and has flashed a knack for the ball in limited defensive reps. The Bears should keep the special teams captain.
S Craig Steltz [2 years 2.5 million/1 guaranteed]
Steltz has been a consistent contributor and can hold up as a sport starter and a leader on special teams.
RB Khalil Bell [2 years 3 million/1 guaranteed]
Bell in my opinion has earned the right to be the primary back up, he runs hard and catches the ball well out of the backfield.
Draft
1[19] DE Melvin Ingram [South Carolina] 6'2" 276lbs.
The Bears pass rush has not been good enough recently and the Bears need to add a player that can push Idonije into a back up role. Ingram has an excellent combination of power and speed and is an accomplished pass rusher from outside and inside. Ingram is a hustle player that will bring an effort pass rush.

2[51] S Markelle Martin [Oklahoma St] 6'1" 212lbs.
The Bears have not had an impact player at the safety position since Mike Brown left. Martin has the speed and play making ability that the Bears need and he can immediately compete with Wright at SS.

3[72]OT Matt McCants [UAB] 6'7" 315lbs.
The Bears need to add competition to the LT position to push the inconsistent Webb. If Webb continues to struggle the Bears can develop the ultra athletic McCants to replace him.

3[83] WR Jeff Fuller [Texas A&M] 6'3" 225lbs.
The Bears continue to add to the WR core with Fuller who can develop into a solid #2. Fuller is incredibly big and physical and can provide the Bears with an Anquan Boldin type presence

4. LB Nigel Bradham [Florida St] 6'3" 240lbs.
The Bears make over of their LB depth by adding Bradham who has the speed and nose for the ball to develop behind Briggs.

5. TE Ladarius Green [Louisiana Lafayette] 6'6" 235lbs.
Jerry Angelo traded away the Bears best athlete at the TE position and Mike Martz set the position back even more. Green is an elite athlete that can be developed into a new age TE.

6. WR B.J Cunningham [Michigan St] 6’2” 215lbs.
With the pick up of Stevie Johnson the Bears have started the process of making over the WR core with more size. Cunningham, who is an under the radar prospect, will provide more size and the speed that the Bears need on special teams.

7. CB Gary Gray [Notre Dame] 6' 190lbs.
The Bears continue to add CB depth with a physical player that can step in on special teams.
