I do agree, that we should propperly have called him after the first or secound game to see if we could save the season. Welcome to DaBears Zifan. If you've been following these guys for any period of time you'd know what happened this year isn't all the dissimilar to some of their screw-ups from the past. No sooner do we get close to the top of the heap when something comes along to knock us right back down again. It sure would be nice to see and end to that pattern.
I'm getting to that age where a lifetime warranty just doesn't mean as much to me anymore as an afternoon nap.

Yeah, I'd say it was borderline whether playing McNabb would have made a difference. One side of me thinks it may have since those 4 games we lost were against lesser teams but I don't know if McNabb could have handled that offense any better than Hanie did. Maybe he'd have been less confused because of his experience but Martz's refusal to bend to what could be executed could have done most anyone in.
