A "finesse" guy who can get his feet in the right place at the right time can drill his blocks and be just as "mean". Plus Potter's young enough to catch the Tice mean streak vibe. Sox comment on him not attending the senior bowl or shrine is a pause for concern. He might be worth a late 2 or early 3.

That was gonna be my comment after B-hs's post too. The teams Potter faced didn't have pass rushers like the top guys in this draft. There were no Coples or Upshaw's on their schedule. I do agree that he probably does have some niftier footwork that Webb but if he doesn't have the requisite strength he'll get bull rushed right back into the passer.
Maybe you take him in the third round as a project and add some bulk and muscle to him over the next couple of years. Then he may be able to play LT in the NFL but he doesn't rate as a guy who could give you much right out of the chute. Despite Webb's problems with pass blocking he's still a monster run blocker but to date he's probably better suited for RT than left.
We may see the Bears take as a third round pick. I don't believe they'll get Mike Adams so they'll fill other spots in rounds one and two. By the third they should be willing to gamble a bit on one of those picks like they did with Conte last year. The third is also a good spot to get Safeties, CB's and LB's too and all of those need some young depth.
I'm getting to that age where a lifetime warranty just doesn't mean as much to me anymore as an afternoon nap.
