Well finally, some encouraging news. Relatively.

Thanks for the news mats. This is what I was hoping for. We need him around and I still think that Raider job is a bad gig.

Fortunate for the Bears Oakland decided to move on but it did cost the chance at possibly hiring Olson as he took a job as the assistant head coach/quarterbacks coach on Mike Mularkey’s new staff with the Jaguars. We will now see about those conflicting rumors surrounding Bob Bostad coming in as the O-Line coach.

Mike Tice will remain with the team instead of interviewing for the vacant Oakland Raiders head-coaching job.

Tice was scheduled to interview with the Raiders at the Senior Bowl on Tuesday, but Oakland has decided to move onto a second round of interviews with other candidates instead.

Olson may have gone that route anyhow for the Asst. HC title and the fact that on Mularkey's staff he's probably a de facto OC as well. We didn't have as much to offer still it would have been nice not to have had that distraction for the last few days.

Yeah, what will the story on Bostad be now that Tice is locked in? Whatever the situation it's time to get these distractions put away and get on with the hiring both in the front office and the coaching staff.
