Mikey was pure entertainment because he was just a Kyle Orton "jock sniffer" and other than that he knew next to nothing about football. Globe was an antagonist and so was DB54 but I could get along with him just fine. At least when we debated we always "fought fair." He did bring a lot of good info into discussions.

I'll probably get stoned with cans of Old Style for this but if he'd just be less argumentative with people, especially staff members in possession of "ban hammer", I'd love to see him return. He added a lot of knowledge but not all that he believed in was accurate or true. He spent an awful lot of time defending incorrect information or unpopular points of view. You can't be right 100% of the time.

Even I can't, but I've come so damn close a few times.

Problem w/DB was he had to be agrumentative, then devolve the argument into insults, then get mad that he was being insulted. He also buried other peoples threads/opinions w/his own. It was hard, unless you had all day to do so, to keep up w/what was going on w/this board when he was around.

While it is slower around here w/out him, I don't mind the constant headaches.

Mikey was just a denver honk, don't insult fans of Orton for him, he was more then willing to drop him for Tebow the minute they picked him.

Didn't really pay attention to GoF's, but I'm assuming he was like SnarkyLuv if he was an antagonist. Stark loved to come in here and preach his fandom was greater then thou's, as well as his knowledge then sludge away after getting into a 10 page argument.

Funny you bring that up. There are those guys who came in and drop and opinion bomb or two, start a debate around it, then just disappear if there isn't 100% agreement or they keep poring over the same viewpoint and no one can alter their thinking.

I have a lot of strong opinions and I'm willing to back them but there isn't a day that goes by when I can't find someone with an alternate theory or viewpoint that has me re-evaluating and changing my mind. That's the greatest thing about this place. The collective football IQ is very high around here and many times we don't realize that until we go to another site and it becomes pretty apparent almost immediately.

No problem w/people having alternate views, even heated debates, but there's no reason to go where some of those I mentioned did.

This site has a lot of good football opinions, that span from watching more then just Bears football and the Mck's. Lot of guys that played at some level and know how to breakdown film, or players beside the skill positions, and w/the departure of some cut and pasters and other loud mouths, their voices are more easily heard.
