Hey fellas (and ladies if you are out there), I'm just passing through looking for a new message board home. I'm a veteran poster from another site that I'm sure you all probably know (but shall remain nameless), but things over there have really been getting ugly. The antagonists and attackers have kind of taken over and I'm getting to old to put up with that crap. The mods are trying, but the same group dominates the board and tends to follow individuals that they disagree with from thread to thread just to deride their opinions even further. I actually registered in this forum about 7 years ago at the same time I joined the other, but I think this one was still in it's relative infancy at the time and there was not much activity.

There are about a 1/2 dozen of us from the other board that have become fed up, and through PM's we've agreed look for new homes and get back to one another. I'm betting some of them are already hovering around here as there are not a lot of quality options. I'm sure you can all understand that it's hard to judge the quality of a forum without hanging out for awhile as it is a rather personal determination. That said, You may see me (a stranger) popping into some conversations a bit to "test the waters" if you will. Those of us that are looking are generally a little more "mature" (a nice way of saying "older" I guess) and are looking for some real discussion without the pissing contest that can sometimes result from opposing view points. I would describe us all as relatively sophisticated football fans that enjoy a good discussion, and even debate without degrading to personal insults. After all, we should all be doing this for fun, right?

Anyway, I look forward to sharing some discussions with you all, and perhaps we can have some laughs along the way as well.

Lots of Jan 2012 new members. Wonder where I've seen all these names before? Glad to see you guys!

I'm more of a lurker but have been on this board since before it merged (despite having to re-register). They're a good bunch on here and you get a lot of good info, insight and breaking news (well, anything is 'breaking news' when you are a limey living in Singapore, NFL black hole that it is!)
