Bears QB Coach Likely Christensen
@vxmcclure23
vaughn mcclure Clyde Christensen wanted to stay in Indy as the OC. With Colts set to hire Bruce Arians, Christensen should be headed to Bears.
@vxmcclure23
Lovie Smith wanted Christensen for his qb coach/passing game coordinator from the moment the position was created. We'll see what unfolds.

I'll take it. There's worse candidates out there than a guy who has been around Peyton Manning and Tom Moore for the last ten years. I'll take that aerial scheme and at-the-line adaptation help for Jay any day.

Hell yes, any guy who came through the ranks around Tom Moore and Peyton Manning should know something more than the average Joe about the passing game. Get his ass in the door asap.

It sounds like we've got something cookin' with the Bears, fellas. We're on a roll! First, a GM, and now a good QB Coach/Passing Game Coordinator. I won't hold my breath until I see a major difference in the play of the Bears, but I think we've got the start of something big potentially if things fall into place just right.

I agree Dagan81, I won't hold my breath till I see it but think it would be probably the best move the Bears have made if it comes to fruition.

There's the old cliche, "The proof is in the pudding." Whatever that means, I have no clue since there are a variety of different flavors of pudding, but we need to get this deal done and fast before Christensen has a chance to get through our fingers. He is a Lovie Smith guy, as they both worked together down in Tampa Bay with the Buccaneers. Combine Tice's unrelenting ground attack with Christensen's aerial tactics and we have the potential for one of the most potent offenses in the league next year.

That's the key word in that sentence Dags. We've had that potential ever since Cutler arrived but we always piss it away.

Well, we were looking like we were meeting that potential for the most part in the 2011 season prior to Cutler's injury, but then Fate waved its magic wand and turned the tide against the Bears. I'd say that one way or another, Emery will look to get us the offensive help we desperately need to make things work well. That will mean a new LT and a couple of receivers, including one that potentially could be an Pro Bowler.
But you're right, it's only potential until we put it into practice, soul. So far, we haven't done a very good job of that.

Fire tice and hire Arians

Clyde Christensen, the Colts’ offensive coordinator the past two seasons, is expected to remain on Pagano’s staff and handle wide receivers. That’s a position Christensen held from 2002-09.
