He's pretty impressive. This guy has a plan. If posters like nerrad and slipscreen had any idea what to look for and listen for they wouldn't answer the way they have. He's got a presence. He doesn't hesitate when he answers questions. They haven't tossed anything at him he hasn't given a straightforward answer to.
I agree, albeit at a very general level.
It's obvious to me that he has a direction he wants to go, but he doesn't necessarily want to share it yet. He still has has a whole organization to evaluate, so I wouldn't expect specific examples of what he is going to do.
I like everything I've heard... he has all the right answers. But Jimmors said it best, actions is what will determine his success.
i have to through a process and evaluate the role of his presence with the Voices.
we need a playmaker that makes plays ... yes those are the best kind.
WOW! Let's all hope his actions in FA and the draft speak louder than his words. A lot was said, but not a lot of substance to it.
In large I got that he's a fine evaluator of college players and hopes to build the Bears primarily through the draft. Him and his staff will evaluate the talent and he will lean on Cliff Stein when it comes to salary cap & contracts. Said he's different from the last GM b/c of his 'process' and said his grading scale for players is very different from the last system. He also said has full control of the 53-man roster... but said decisions will be made after hearing everyone's opinion.
So in all our beloved are moving forward and making progresses....
That was kinda cool. First time I've watched one of the Bears "dog and pony shows" live. Thanks for the link BC.
