List of 2012 Free Agents.............

Here's a link to a site with a rather lengthy list of free agents by position. Maybe someone on staff can sticky this for reference. Understand as time goes by many of these names will disappear as they re-sign with their current teams.

Edit: It has come to my attention that whoever composed this list may either have been drunk when they did it or didn't know what in the hell they were doing if they listed D'Brickashaw Ferguson as a 2012 UFA. The guy is signed through 2017. Therefore I would advise we double check some of these names to verify that they truly are UFA. One source for this is Spotrac.com which gives the complete contract and cap data on every active player. If a guy is UFA in 2012 this site will indicate it and it's a trusted source for this info.

The management of this site is truly sorry for any embarrassment these errors may cause.......well not really. :bah:

Bump this up as a reference for FA discussions.

To divert from the usual names in threads. Some different players that I give some thought to :
Chase Daniel - The kid can throw .The other Matt Flynn.
Early Doucet - would produce if used more often.
Domenik Hixson - ^^^^
Eddie Royal - proven chemistry with Cutler.
Reggie Wayne - produces with a real QB.
Konrad Reuland- was productive at Stanford; stuck at 2nd string
Rob Ninkovich - Chi area guy; could he be enticed by an offer from the Bears ?
Wesley Woodyard - thought he was pretty good; don't know his status ( injured ? )
Brandon Browner- would help, maybe alot.

Reggie Wayne would be an interesting pickup if the Colts decide to rebuild but I wonder if with Luck coming in they'll want to keep him around for another couple of years to make life easier on him.

Eddie Royal doesn't have a lot of size but I'd much rather have him playing WR than Hester.

Chase Daniel may be intersting but we'll still need a vet unless they stick with McCown. Bad move there though. We could do better.

We could do alot worse too. I remember some of his college games, highly accurate, great anticipation, the guy is capable of absolutely shredding defenses.

soul, remember that you need to post a disclaimer about that list. According to one source I found on D'Brickashaw Ferguson, he was re-signed to an extended contract in 2010 and it lasts until 2017. There are some gross inaccuracies on that site.

Thanks bro, but he ins't due for FA yet is he? Guess I'll have to look that one up.

OK, looked him up. Daniel is a RFA so if NO makes him a qualifying offer he may still end up with the Saints.
