Well Rex for sure but he lacks the toughness needed to be great anyway. Cutler has plenty of toughness but his talent is being wasted. Sometimes I wonder why he hasn't gotten more frustrated than he has.

Did you know that when Mr. Jones (Angelo) was run out of the Manor Farm, all the animals were happy?

Benji, what is your hang up on Rex Grossman? You have some sort Rexurbation moment every once in a while. It's as if you still think he could be a great quarterback when in fact he's failed everywhere that he's been.

Considering the best two QBs the Bears have had in recent memory who had the most talent and lack of talent around them, it wasn't hard to name him.

In case you didn't notice, Soul agreed ;)

He could have succeeded here if he was protected well (as you can see by the first half of 2006), and by the time the Bears were done with him he was mentally fawked. Say what you will, he is the second or third favorite QB of mine.... Not sure where I put Jimmy Mac since I wasn't really old enough to enjoy his punkyself.

Yeah but I'm hoping we move on from that chapter now that JA has left the building and took his dart board with him.

You missed out on a real treat Benji. Mac was one of a kind. A collectable of sorts available only in the limited quantity of one. He was Bobby Layne reincarnated and didn't give a shit about anything but winning, including his own health. He's was as reckless and he was fearless and he'll probably never get all of the recognition he deserves because of it. He was 100% winner but he couldn't stay uninjured long enough to become a legend.

Nevermind that he showed up to training camp in 1986 about twenty-five pounds overweight. lol

My favorite was when he mooned the media helicopter. That was a classic. Goddell would have taken away his birthday for that one.
