Arguing on the internet is like winning the special olympics, even if you win your still messed up.

I would take the Giants OL over their WRs.

Manningham, Bennett and Floyd would be a solid group of WRs

If we could add just one more, we could rotate them in and out, and occasionally go 4 wide outs without worrying about it not working. They'd have to respect the run enough that Jay could beat them pretty badly.
Play bigger than they are???? meh Bennett=Cruz and Knox=Manningham who doesn't play any bigger than he is. What's with all this sudden love for Manningham? Does one superb catch in the Super Bowl make him all that worthy. Let's take a look at a seasons worth of performance and not just one play in one game. Why this "grass is always greener" attitude all of a sudden for a guy who lost his job as the #2 to Victor Cruz?
Sorry but I just can't see enough difference between the two to justify wanting Manningham over Knox. Had he not missed the last two games Knox would have been reasonably close to last years numbers even though he shared snaps with RWill. You can also take into consideration not having Cutler either for a couple of those games and an Oline which rarely allowed time enough to complete deep routes.
I would agree that we don't have a Hakeem Nicks but Knox and Bennett can be every bit as effective with Jay Cutler at QB as Manningham and Cruz are with Eli Manning.

Where's the big difference in thee two guys? Both the same age height and weight. Manningham has one more years experience but his first year was worthless so all we do is consider both over the last three years.
Knox played in 3 more games 45 vs 42 but caught fewer passes 133 vs 156. Their cummulative yardage is not even 100 yards different but Knox average about 2 yards more per catch. Manningham has scored more TD's but what receivers don't usually score more often than Bears receivers do considering the handicaps our passing game is usually under.
So how much difference is there really? If that circus catch was made by Knox instead would anyone be calling for Manningham? But if you want to give me Hakeem Nicks I'll start clearing a locker for him today.

Yep, there's where much of the difference lies. All of our receivers would look better if Cutler wasn't running for his life all the time. I would take Hakeem Nicks over RWill in a heartbeat, that's a duh who wouldn't, but the other two are not much different than what we have in Knox and Bennett.
So how to we fix that problem? We get off our asses in FA and get us a Hakeem Nicks that's what we do. How much better does having a Hakeem Nicks who provides a consistent threat between the hashes make Cruz and Manningham.
Manningham made a stupendous catch and I take nothing away from that at all but did everyone notice that the safety was late getting over because they had to respect Nicks and that's why Manningham was one on one with the CB? We need a Hakeem Nicks not another Johnny Knox clone and an Oline that can give Cutler the kind of protection Eli gets. That should be the focus. MM is just another #2 or #3 wideout and that we have in abundance.

I liked him before the SB and his good catch in the NFCC game....
he makes the catches, Knox doesn't. He was #3 behind Cruz and Nicks.
Give me Manningham all day over what we have

Manningham is an upgrade over Knox, if only for the fact that Knox is a bigger question mark than Peyton Manning for playing next year. I think it would be okay to get him, simply because he'd be cheaper and he'd be a number 2 or 3 WR. If that catch is gonna make him more money, pass.
