Post SB 46: What we learned

    - Offense wins games, defense wins championships.

    - Eli is now a Top 5 quarterback along with Peyton, Brady, Rodgers and Brees.

    - Top to bottom, the Giants had the more balanced and complete team.

    - Eli deserves that trophy.

    - The 4th quarter was very exciting.

    - I wanna see Mario Manningham wearing a Bears uniform in the 2012 season.

    - Manningham's catch was excellent.

    - Ahmad Bradshaw's TD run was quite funny.

    - Madonna was unspectecular. Next time I wanna hear some headbanging Rock'n'Roll.

    Your thoughts?

Eli is better then Tom Brady; and is the best qb in his family.

Maybe the Bellecheck will learn to use the talent he has; Ocho is fresh from sitting all year, and is the most talented WR you have. You have lost your most talented used during the year talent in Gronk, maybe get Ocho running some down the field over the middle routes to help make the big plays. His arrogance got him beat.

He should also learn to get a running game going, again year of the qb my ass. The team that ran the ball better, and played better D won this game.

Give the NYG's punter some love, dude pinned NE deep consistantly and their D was able to be more agressive b/c of it.

Madonna was supringnly good, she did lip sync a little, but at least she really sang too. She also didn't try and be over the top and steal the stage from the actual players. WTG Madonna.

Vegas lost their ass, and the talking heads had it right...how often does that happen?

People nut hug too muchTom Brady is on a team that doesn't know how to play up to his levelThe Giants don't have a better coach than the Bears, but a better GMThe commercials suckedthe game itself, suckedI "get" why they have shitty musicians at halftime (to get the crowd that wouldn't otherwise watch, to watch long enough for those ratings, or maybe the game), but Seriously, don't ever play a pop band again. Don't play anybody that was popular more than 2 decades ago (they still have to be relevant); The Black Keys, Flaming Lips, Pearl Jam or an old man fashioning a kayak out of a log would be ideal. And no ***** Nickelback, don't even get me started on why i hate canada now.

Complete teams make it to championships. That's what we learn. The Giants won it because they had it all game. The Patriots D finally showed up in the postseason, but it still dropped off a little during the game I thought. Also, the Pats offense choked. I knew that if Gronk wasn't playing to his normal level, that the Giants had a great chance of winning.

If the Giants play like this next year, then it'll be them and the Texans in the Super Bowl. Nobody came close to being as balanced as the Texans, I thought. I just thought it was terrible luck that Schaub got injured.

The best impression that I took from the game was that the officials just let the players play and didn't make any horseshit calls like in the regular season. I hope the league took notice. I thought Madonna was OK (will never be able to please everybody anyway) and for the most part the commercials sucked. No imagination anymore. JMHO though.

Yeah, the game was one of the most competative games I can remember. Not just back and fourth tds until the final whistle.

Halftime show was good. If they ever play some Crap like the flaming lips I will quit watching.

How Henry said relevent and flaming lips in the same sentance w/out being struck by ligthing doesn't make sence to me. I agree w/ZV, NYG's played a complete game, and looked like a complete team. I could easily see them(if both teams stay healthy) facing the Texans next year if both play like they did this year.

-I know a punter would never be MVP but damn he put N.E in a spot.

-How two teams with different personnel from the previous meeting arrive at the exact same finish is a bet in itself

-The Chrysler ad should have been for Kevlar

-wr's on high precision teams eventually drop passes

-Defense matters. Some nice hard hits in the game

    -Twilight still sucks
Arguing on the internet is like winning the special olympics, even if you win your still messed up.

yeah, much props to the giants punter. He definitely did his job and then some. He couldve even pinned them behind the 10 yard line one more time if the Giants player swatted the ball, he punted it and it had a perfect bounce straight up in the air on the 5yl, it just needed to be slapped to stay out of the end zone. Cant say enough about Special teams.

-Patriots have a good DL, but the Giants' was better by leaps and bounds.

-Patriots have no running game and no secondary...which are both reasons why they lost

-Eli is a great QB, but he will go down in history as perhaps the greatest "Crunch Time" QB. He might not have the gaudy numbers of Rodgers, Brady or Brees, but when it comes to the 4th Quarter in the most important games...he gets the job done, and that is what is all that matters.

-Discipline is an important part of winning games, Giants had more of it. (i mean really...12 defenders on the field Patriots? Really?)

-Defense, Special teams and a running game win Championships. So good to see that in a year when the Passing QB dominated the season. Brady, Brees, Rodgers...all failures this year. But then again...they all won Championships in the past as well...so im sure they arent *that* upset
