Anyone who says that this team's biggest needs aren't at the LT and DE positions, in that order, is crazy as hell. The Bears still have a solid defense, but it needs an extra pass rusher to balance out Peppers and the three technique position(s). Do you honestly want to go back out and average giving up 250 yards through the air against next season?

Then there's the issue of LT. That is our biggest need on offense, not WR, though I would rank WR as 1b. For two years, we have watch Jay Cutler run for his life against superior pass rushes because of the ineptitude of J'Marcus Webb and, when he's been in the game, Frank Omiyale. We have finally found a solution for the interior of the offensive line: Chris Williams/Edwin Williams at LG, Garza/Spencer at C, and Spencer/Louis at RG. Carimi could become an All-Pro at RT if he ever stays healthy. So all we need to do is shore up LT and perhaps add another OT from free agency for additional depth, thus giving OMG the boot off the team. If we can't protect Cutler and give our running backs big, gaping holes to run through, how in the shit do you expect us to get the ball to any playmaker down the field? Really? Someone tell me that much, and if it's a sufficient answer...well, I won't go there.

WR is a must too, but we have to prioritize those other positions first. Cutler can still complete better than 60% of his passes with the receivers we have, and it is true that we need some receiver who are taller than 6'0", but how do you expect to utilize even the elite ones if you aren't able to protect the quarterback? Nobody on this forum seems to get that simple concept, and until we as a collective do, and until the people at Halas Hall understand this (which I think Emery definitely has a firm grip on this situation), then we're going to continue to fall flat on our faces and underachieve when we should be out competing for championships.
