    Tomorrow we look at linebackers.

Reading that article made me think I'd been abducted to the Twilight Zone. Virtually nothing in that "analysis" of Webb & Omiyale was even remotely accurate. And how Lovie or Tice could believe the horseshit coming out of their mouths is beyond me. This has to be one of the biggest self-deceptions of all time or the best disinformation campaign since the Allies tricked the Nazis into believing that D-day was going to be in Calais rather than Normandy.

Wish we knew which MP. But I guess if we knew then so would every other team and that tips our hand although given the lack of anything even remotely resembling LT talent in FA if we get help it's almost certainly gonna have to come from the draft.

I think part of the problem I have with this offensive line thing is this operative thought about how good Tice is at finding gems while he's bottom fishing. So he can turn a semi worthless guy into a fair to average player? Is that the plan? If so I think we need to push past that approach for a while and find some real talent. If Webb is an example of one of his gems he needs to start looking for diamonds instead of zircons.

Tice is a good coach, let's be honest. But he is deluding himself and manipulating our thought processes into thinking that Webb is actually good. This is where I will begin testing Emery's knowledge and intelligence about the game of football. If he can manage to overcome the whims of Mike Tice and draft a LT in the first round like a Mike Adams, then he will be like a second coming of Christ. But if he gives into Tice's whims, I'm going to be sorely pissed. We will have essentially hired Jerry Angelo v2.0.

I believe all coaches either lose perspective at times or get so emotionally involved in a player that they believe that their next project guy will work. I hope Emery is the devil's advocate to keeping the perspective balanced.

Here's some conjecture for you Dags. Who do you think would make the best LT, Adams or Carimi?

I think six of one is a half dozen of the other. I don't know enough about offensive linemen to really tell you by looking at their technique what their abilities are. They're both about the same size. I would guess Carimi based on the fact that he has actually played some pro ball now for a small part of one season while Adams really hasn't.

I'm still hoping against hope that RT is just the training ground for LT. First Webb and now Carimi (crosses fingers).

I can't honestly believe that Tice believes that a seventh round pick in Webb who was picked one year before Carimi who was a first round pick is more suited for LT. That just galls me. He should be fired for that.

Yeah it's wacky. But I'm just thinking of how Omiyale, Cwill, and Webb cut their teeth at RT before being moved. Oh well pipe-dreams gotta have 'em right?

Chris Williams was never given a serious chance at LT before Tice yanked him from the spot and put him a LG. He's not naturally a LG, and as such, he'll never be a superstar at that position. Meanwhile, OMG and Webb suck out so badly that it's not funny.
