Is Stephen Hill the New Randy Moss?....................

Is Georgia Tech WR Stephen Hill the best big play threat in the draft?

The underclassman is raw, but has a lot of talent. Wes Bunting

    The Breakdown…
WR Stephen Hill: Georgia Tech (6-5, 205)
ICONHill can track/adjust to the football.

A tall, long legged wide out who has a decent get off burst for his size. Builds speed as he goes and the further down the field he gets the tougher he is to run with. Showcases good body control when asked to track the football. Locates the throw well, can extend his arms and make acrobatic plays on the football. Knows how to fend off contact down the field. Is a coordinated wide out with good body control, balances himself well when asked to high point the play and can collect himself quickly to go get the football. Showcases "plus" hands at times when asked to pluck off his frame. Exhibits a large set of paws and can snatch cleanly with one hand. However, does have a tendency at times to lose concentration and will put the ball on the ground. Exhibits some wiggle to his game for a bigger receiver with the ball in his hands. Has some natural initial explosion, can change directions and make a cut at full speed, allowing him to side step a defender with the ball in his hands. Exhibits good initial quickness/power as well when asked to side-step/break a tackle in the bubble screen game and is a tough guy initially to bring down.

Isn't a real polished route runner because of the scheme. Is asked to typically just run vertical routes where he can track/height point the football. Has been asked to work from the slot, but seemed to round off/drift in and out of his breaks. And isn't real sharp or sudden in that area of the game. Watching his short area quickness and body control for a big guy he looks like he can certainly develop in the three-step game and has the skill set to be able to beat press coverage off the line. Is a strong blocker and will get after it in the run game. Looks like a 4.5 guy, might be able to run in the low 4.5 range and does have some burst to his game. Can physically get bigger, is tall and long limbed, and I would like to see him add a bit more girth.

Impression: Has a unique skill set, can pluck off his frame, track the football and is the next big time talent from the Georgia Tech program. Is going to need some time to develop, but can come in and track football vertically early on. Has a lot of upside to his game and the skill set says he's an NFL starter.

If this this kid has a better attitude than Randy "there is no I in me" Moss than Hill has an honest chance to lay claim to his former throne. From his scouting report he seems fairly similar except he doesn't have Moss's speed. But then neither does Moss anymore.

Interesting prospect who will be around in the 2nd. Could Tice have a hard on for a guy like this in his offense? He loved to go downfield to Moss when he had him in Minny.

Well in his case we need to change the "Randy Ratio" to the "Stephen Stats".

Wasn't Dez Bryant supposed to be the next Moss? At the end of the day, the second coming of Moss is a ton of pressure to put on a kid that is still in college. I watched almost every game of Moss' career in Minny and he did things that no one has down since. His attitude needed improvement once Cris Carter was no longer there to mentor him but his talent & motivation was inhuman. People forget that one of the reasons that Moss was so great was because several NFL teams passed on him and Moss took that slight & used it to motivate himself to incredible heights. For me, I doubt we'll see another Moss any time soon.

Randy Moss still claims he can run a 4.3 40 and wants to come back to prove something. Lot of DC sports chatter saying watch the Pats and Bears to make a play for him. Bears because of the Tice connection, wouldn't mind kicking the tires on this guy with some motivation under his butt.

Happy offseason jokr! Will you guys take Kalil if he's there or Blackmon and who would you like to see?

The header about the new Randy Moss was a little poking fun at the article. About the only real comarison between the two is their size. Hill can't run a 4.3 and probably can't catch passes without ever breaking stride like Moss did. Every once in a while certain players come along with "freakish" talent and Moss is in that group. Be interesting to see if anyone bites the bait he's dangling. Good to see you around.

Well as jokr pointed out if Moss is motivated he can do some damage on the football field and if he's not the only damage he causes is in the locker room. With Tice in charge of the offense I wouldn't have a problem looking at him. Before this year I would have said no way but after RWill I'm ready for nearly anything.

Frankly, it wouldn't surprise me a bit if he still could outrun most DBs in the league. His attitude was his problem. The skill and talent has always been there. It's his mind that takes a break on you.

If he was signed in Chicago, most of you would embrace him the same way you embrace Cutler. There are those fans that will turn a blind eye and a deaf ear to the douche wearing a Bear uniform. Sadly, if Moss still feels like he can take plays off during a football game, he's little more than a cancer. And this is coming from someone that loved the guy in Minny!

Lastly, keep in mind, Tice couldn't control Moss in Minny either. Just because there is a connection doesn't mean that Moss and Tice hold one another in high regard. Moss was his best under Dennis Green with Randall Cunningham under center and Cris Carter being a mentor. Even in New England, Moss was spectacular but he wore out his welcome with Brady and Belichick. Let's not fool ourselves here... Lovie and Cutler are no Brady and Belichick.
