The injury occurred in that 9th game and that was it for the year. Could be that the Chargers release him just to free up cap space and if he can pass the physical they re-sign him. If he's certain to be able to play this year yea, I would take some risk on a one or two year deal but nothing beyond that. His career could be over in a snap.Quote:

I think the idea the idea of pursuing McNeil is interesting but until he either passes or fails a physical there's no telling whether he can play or not. If he can pass the Bears physical and would play on a one year deal like Okoye did and earn a longer term deal we should at least investigate but unless he got a completely clean bill of health I wouldn't risk a long term deal.
I'm more excited this year about free agency and the draft than I was last year. I'm really looking forward to all the possibilities that will come before with a new GM and a commitment by George McCaskey that money is not an issue.
