I think 9 million for Marshall is a deal, i mena look what he's done in Miami without a QB
As for inking Forte a deal well, i like forte i really do but i have a feeling were gonna franchise him, i think we need to start at looking at dumping him soon and getting a younger guy in here wiht say a 4-5 year deal in place
Absolutely not. Forte is the most complete running back in the league for his rushing and pass catching capabilities. The man, when given proper blocking, can average rushing for approximately 5.0 yards per carry. His yards per carry are going up each year. We haven't even seen the best out of Matt Forte. He makes our offense roll like a well-oiled machine at times and when he's injured, we struggle. We can't afford to let him go, and we won't.

I hear what your saying but Forte is not a down hill north and south runner which is what Tice loves. Forte also cant get over pylon or the 1 hard line in the redzone. THATS CRITICAL STUFF, those kinds of things win and lose games. I can say this with Tice in line i dont think Forte will be getting half the workout Martz gave him, plus his age is a question i know hes 26 or something like that but he has great value and RB in the NFL are the most easy replaceable position to fill. I mean seriously i think every NFL team has at least 1 great RB on their team these days. I say tag him an d trade him for picks, if you can get a 1st and 3rd or hell even two 1st for him, YOU SEND HIM PACKING ASAP!

If RB is one of the easiest positions to fill and every team has at least one great RB, why in the world would they give us a couple draft picks for Forte? Also, what exactly is your criteria for a great RB?

Ya, um, no. I'm gonna have to disagree wholeheartedly. One of the best/most productive players on our team should be rewarded with a contract that matches his talent and ability. If the Bears do not pay Forte, assuredly someone else will, and we will be back at the draft picking the Curtis Enis and Rashaan Salaam's of the world. PAY THE MAN HIS MONEY!!!

Speaking of deals, it looks like Forte is going to be getting his next week. There's another thread on this very topic right now.
