I think they're looking for somebody better than McCown but who knows. Lovie claimed they wanted to sign him a few years ago and he went in a different direction.

I think there will be guys who are better than Henne out there looking for work. What they need to do is get that guy under contract and working in the OTA's to develop some rapport with the receiver just as quickly as he can.

Hanie got a raw deal from Martz. What he was handed for game plans and plays was just beyond what he was prepared for. Pretty typical of the way Martz ran the entire offense paying little or no attention to what could or couldn't be executed. It was Martz job to get him prepared but he did nothing about it in practices so naturally Hanie was unprepared and every game Martz ratcheted up the difficulty claiming he wasn't giving him enough to work with. Bullshit. I watched those games and Hanie reminded me of Rex when he got that deer in the headlights look. I watched Hanie play in college and he isn't as bad as Martz made him look. Now for all intents and purposes his NFL career may well have ended.
