Sounds like Emery getting his feet wet down there. I like that George McCaskey is taking an active role in the operations. We're used to the opposite. Gotta hope he doesn't swing the other way though, and get so nvolved that he's a disruption.
Watch out for Rishaw Johnson tomorrow. Kid has a troubled past, but he was right up there with Brandon Brooks in impressing me at the Shrine game on the OL and there are winds of a few teams being very high on him.
Per the Trib, Phil Emery met with Todd France today at the combine. France represents Dwayne Bowe, Eddie Royal, Justin Blackmon, and Fletcher Cox. (Give me BOTH these guys and another pass rusher and we take a major step towards the SB. Too bad that Bowe isn't gonna hit FA but it's good to hear that he's talking to the guy who represents Royal. It really shouldn't be too hard to get in to come to Chicago to get his career back on track catching passes from Cutler again)
He also met with unnamed reps of Bears players who are set to hit free agency.
Additionally, George McCaskey is down at the combine for the first time and is involved "at least in the background."

I don't see him having a personality like that Mikey at all. To a degree he seems hands on but he's put good people in place to do their jobs and I think he's there to learn from them not to interfere. That alone would put him miles ahead of the .
I'm getting to that age where a lifetime warranty just doesn't mean as much to me anymore as an afternoon nap.
