Both Webb and Adams are HUGE OT's. I'm sure you (Windy) will agree with me that GENERALLY, this is a common issue for the super-sized guys. There are occasionally some exceptional freak athletes that can overcome this problem, but usually the bigger they are, the harder it is to overcome this particular issue.

I honestly don't see an immediate answer to this problem (LT) in either FA or the draft. In my opinion, the only true answer is for Webb to take a HUGE step forward (really don't see it, I think he has peaked) or TRY Chris Williams at his true position one more time. Perhaps someone like a Nate Potter in the third could be a potential answer down the road, but I think this year we have to go with what we've got (just for the record, not a big Potter believer either).

I saw that but this kid is much smaller 5'11 179lbs. I wonder if he could add 15 lbs without losing any speed or agility.

Id like to see more about the safety position, seeing how corners can be mediocre we need studs to defend that backfield. I love Florida and i hope Wright works out but we should maybe look to a the first round for a talented SS or FS, we looked weak out there this past season even when Conte lined up 25 yards off the line :HA:

There's only one SS in the draft with a 1st round grade and that's Mark Barron but Iloka from BSU and Harrison aren't far behind and are solid 2nd rounders. I'd love to get either of those guys in the second. There are some vet Safeties in FA and it wouldn't surprise me if we went shopping for one there.

And mine as well. We cry about replacing Webb but in order to do that we need someone to replace him with and the LT cupboard is not all that well stocked after you get past Kalil and Reiff. I don't even think Martin is a sure thing.

Once again, playing the devil's advocate, we know precisely what Webb's problems are and so does Tice. Given that I think he has a fairly good idea of how to fix them or at least try fixing them. For all intents and purposes Webb was a rookie LT last year and we can only hope that with a years experience and a full off season to learn and work out his problems he will be better than last year. To me drafting Adams only tells me we'd likely go through the same growing pains with him.

This is somewhat like another OT we had some years back. "Big Cat" Williams came into the NFL as a FA Dlineman and failed miserably at that. But the coaches must have seen something in him because before they gave up on him as a football player they tried him at OT and though he struggled early on to learn a new position he eventually turned out to be one of the best RT's we've ever had. Then there was Stan Thomas probably the worst LT we ever drafted. Let's just hope Webb turns out as good as the "Big Cat" did. They're about the same size.

May have saved himself and hopefully he runs fast and gets back into the 1st round.

    Mohamed Sanu [6'2" 211lbs.]

Droped weight I am guessing to get faster, but hopefully he still has the strength that we need.

    Kendall Wright [5'10" 196lbs.]

Wright needed to be this size and not DeSean Jackson size. Wright may have made himself some money by being Steve Smith size.

    Rueben Randle [6'3" 210lbs.]

Very solid size and hand size and it will only be added to if he is able to run fast and catch the ball in drills.

    Justin Blackmon [6'1" 207lbs.]

Lighter than I thought and probably a speed grab.

    Michael Floyd [6'3" 220lbs.]

Another guy who dropped some weight from his college days and I think this will only help a guy with some speed problems.

    Stephen Hill [6'4" 215lbs.]

This guy looks like a specimen and if he runs the 40 as fast as he did and can look better in the drills watch out because this guys is going to climb.

If you have any serious doubt about Mike Adams ability to plat LT, you cannot draft him at 19.

We have a RT in Gabe Carimi and if Mike Adams fails at LT where do you move him?

At 6'7" he is going to struggle inside at OG and he is not a powerful run blocker to start with and then to get value Adams goes to RT and Carimi goes to OG or LT.

Mike Adams could be a real risk.

Soul, Sunday is a huge day when some of these questionable 1st round WRs run and we can see if the speed issues are real.
