I have been high on Mike Adams for a while, but my best friend (a major Ohio State nut who actually attended the school for four years) warned me about him. He told me that he was surprised that he is going as high as he is showing that he will go, and that he felt that Adams should probably go somewhere in the second or third rounds. He said that he was really raw, but didn't go into specifics on how he is with pass protection.
It looks like we're in for another year of subpar LT play. I guess we're going to get another 11-13 sacks given up by Webb even though he will have a chip blocker in there helping him.

Every Combine slow guys try to get faster and smaller players try to get bigger and after a while so much emphasis gets put on all this that no matter how good the measurable you still have to find out if they can play football at the NFL level. Sometimes I think this thing gets more hoopla than it deserves just so the NFL can make more $$$ televising it.
The part about what kind of FOOTBALL PLAYER a guy is spot on. Finally someone mentioned it ... when what we mostly hear about is measurables, measurables, measurables.
I hope Emery watches tape and drafts great football players ( guys with passion, instincts, feel for the game ).... as opposed to guys who's "measurables" may be a LITTLE better, but who are dumb football players and/or whimps who lack passion.
What should you call any : Fumble , Hold , Interception , Three and out , or Sack ?
A " F.H.I.T.S " ? or a J'Marcus ?

Those are both embarrassing numbers and I can bench more than that.
Konz especially needs to show more power than that and I am not getting hung up on a test, but WOW.
More than anything this shows me that neither is a huge weight room guy, because doing 20 reps for a guy who has trained for as long as these guys is shocking to me.

Reiff didn't do himself any favors either with that output. Of course I am spoiled from Paea.
Arguing on the internet is like winning the special olympics, even if you win your still messed up.
Restore the roar!

On the positive side, Osemele, continues blowing shit up. Guy is going to be a beast on the right side of some team's offensive line, whether that be at RG or RT.

Oh ... notice how important measurables got again ?
Anyways ... to get an idea of what I mean, if u get the chance, watch The Brady 6 on NFL Network sometime and you'll see all the bullshit about measurables and blah blah blah. You'll see short lived ex Browns head coach Chris Palmer blathering on about how good Spurgon Wynn is, and all the other hype connected with the QB's drafted ahead of Tom Brady that year and..... well watch it... it's real good and you'll see what I mean.
( not saying ALL measurables are BS, of course some guys pan out. Basically my argument is about drafting real fb players.... which many teams make big mistakes on every year .... because they get caught up in hype and measurables when the tape tells a different story ) ... and I'm just hoping the Bears don't make that mistake.

LSU WR Rueben Randle measured 6-foot-2 7/8 and 210 pounds at Friday's Scouting Combine weigh-in.
Randle also has a 77-inch wingspan. While Randle is more than an inch shorter than his 6-foot-4 college listing, he's two pounds heavier and a rocked-up specimen. He's going to be a top-30 pick if he runs in the low-4.5s on Sunday.

Touche, my man!
Do you know when "The Brady 6" comes on? If I'm not busy studying for Geography or some such other shit as that, I'll definitely watch it.
But Adams only had 18 reps and Konz 19? That's pathetic. At that rate, we may have to trade down to get someone like Konz to play OC for us if that's the route we go. Meanwhile, I really don't know what to say about Adams. I mean, he dominated at the Senior Bowl, but he talks like his inside game is struggling. Soul said that reminds him of Webb, so would that mean that we would be getting another J'Marcus Webb if we drafted him? That self-description by Adams coupled with his lacking of reps really bothers me, and makes him a less attractive option in my eyes. Maybe my best friend was right about him.
