Yeah, I don't understand that. He's a good ST guy and as a Safety he hits and tackles well. He's an instinctive player which is what you want at Safety and he has experience in the system. The only thing he really lacks is speed.

Anthony Adams is nothing but a class act, here is what he had to say after the Bears released him:
“Thank You Chicago!! Thank you to all of the coaches, all of the players, all of the former greats, and to all of the die hard fans,” Adams wrote. “Special Thank You to Richard Dent for allowing me to wear #95! I did not feel comfortable wearing it, but you were so cool about it! You all have been phenomenal to my family and my growth! Chicago will always have a place in my heart. It is the city that loved me for 5 yrs! It is the city where I witnessed the births of my 3 children! It is the city where I won my first division championship! It is the city of great food and even greater people! I have never witnessed so many fans who love the players the way you do – win or lose. It has been a honor to play for you! My family and I will forever cherish all of the relationships we built and I hope this will always be a place you will let me call home! Beardown Chicago! Let them know why you’re wearing the crown!”
Man, almost makes me feel bad we let him go.
Best of luck Anthony, may you continue to find success in the NFL, i will be rooting for you (except when you play the Bears!!)

Yeah, for me he's right up there with Dez Clark as one of the best guys to have played for the Bears in recent memory. Neither was a world beater but effective in their roles and just good people. He'll be missed!

Both exceptionally classy guys who were never Pro-Bowlers but were greatly appreciated by teamates and fans alike. The "Little Colonel" had a good career here. He was always a high effort guy his whole career. At PSU he played next Jimmy Kennedy, and All American DT, but AA had a much more productive NFL career.
Best of luck to you Anthony Adams and family. You still got the goods AA and there's a team out there who can use you.
