This TE class is overrated as shit and drafting one early is dumb. Give me Kellen in an offense that actually uses a TE over the whole damn lot of them as far as immediate impact goes (none of them are going to be even close to the run blocker he was for us last season), and similar upside between him and pretty much all those kids.

Agreed! Why all this talk about drafting a TE? Does anybody truly think any of these rookies will start or have more impact than a DE or even a WR if we go that route (much to my dismay). There are only three guys in this draft class that may rate a late first or mid to high second round pick and Charles who leads the pack is more like and over-sized WR than an inline TE. After that you have Fleener and Allen who rate no higher than WR's who would be drafted around the same spot. Everyone knows we need help at WR but as long as Kellen Davis is signed, and we'd be fools not to, we have a guy who fits this offense very well. If he flops we can talk about a TE next year but he deserves a chance to start in this offense to see what he's got.
I'm getting to that age where a lifetime warranty just doesn't mean as much to me anymore as an afternoon nap.

If we can get Allen in the third, we should do it.
