INDIANAPOLIS – Based on a coaches’ scoring system based on production, Alabama linebacker Dont’a Hightower was the top achiever on an elite Crimson Tide defense.

While working out at Athletes Performance Institute in Arizona, Hightower got some perspectives from another “achiever.”

    Brian Urlacher.

The two shared a meal and a conversation with Hightower seeking out the perennial Pro Bowler for advice on adjusting to the NFL game, which Hightower will be part of in a matter of months.

“I just sat down and talked to him and I gained a lot of knowledge,” Hightower said Saturday at the NFL Scouting Combine. “Not just about football but about being a man, coming in and being a professional and making the transition from student-athlete professional.”

Wait he went to Lach for advice? Urlacher isn't exactly the poster boy for doin' the adult thang correctly. Although he could have done worse like went to Ray Ray

He definitely has a lot of baby momma drama, but he has at least stayed out of legal trouble as far as arrests/drugs go and is a true pro on the field and in the locker room. Not a bad guy to talk to from a professional standpoint.

He's a first round prospect PB. It is nice that Urlacher was willing to sit down with him and share some of his experience. He did go through a few crazy years there but if our female members will forgive me for saying it I think he made some very bad choices in women and he's wasn't as cautious as a guy in his situation should have been. Other than that he's never been a problem guy and he's way too much of a jock to be mixed up in drugs.
