The San Francisco Chronicle reported Sunday night that CB Tracy Porter, one of the heroes of the Saints' Super Bowl XLIV victory, is scheduled to visit the Oakland Raiders "in the next couple of days." The Raiders are searching for depth in their secondary after releasing Stanford Routt and Chris Johnson. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch previously reported that the St. Louis Rams have interest in Porter.
anything new/interesting regarding Forte or Okoye?
It is amazing to me that WE have shown no serious interest that I've seen in FA DBs. Right now, outside of our 3 front line CBs/NBs (Tillman, Jennings, DJMoore) we have nothing to speak of on the roster for depth, competition, injury-reserve etc. Graham and Bowman are good as gone and that's fine but we need some new blood and hopefully some experience. It would sure be nice to acquire some plausible competition for Jennings. He's a decent CB but that's all. He tackles well but has Roy Williams like butter fingers and can't seem to make a pick.Originally Posted by little bear

I'd be shocked if we didn't--FA or no FA. But unless we do so pretty high a mid-late round rookie is going to be just a Bowman replacement/developmental player for now. We need that no doubt but are we planning on handing the CB2 starting job back to Jennings w/o any true competition?
just wait... teams will cut players soon enough
