I agree you can't have Roy Williams back. He shouldn't even be on an NFL roster next year. The Bears need to also cut back Hester's time at WR. Throw him in there for a few gimmick plays but that's all. This has to be the year they upgrade the WR position. Do what you can to land 1 veteran and proven receiver in FA (Jackson/Colston/Garcon) and use that #1 in April for Floyd or Wright. Time to quit screwing around with this.

Henry you keep lobbying for us to draft a TE early when even the guru's say this is not a great TE class. Sox and I, and maybe a few others, have already said that at this point in time Davis is better than anyone you could draft. Why not keep a guy who knows you're system, is a dual purpose TE as both a blocker and a receiver and has done a pretty fair job at both with very limited opportunity because of Martz?

Were also a little thin at Safety it's not a wise move to not bring one back who can be as effective a backup as Steltz was last season. He's not a high dollar guy and he will also be better than any mid to late round rookie. The draft isn't exactly rich with Safety talent this year.
I think we do need to get rid of izzy, and have a better pass rusher for his replacement. I'm not convinced Wooton is gonna be much of a player. Steltz is just not that good. Also, I think Allen from Clemson was only starting to drop after a poor combine, but I watched some of his play, and the guy can just play flat out. also, if you're drafting TE, 3rd round isn't that early. I also haven't really seen anything out of Davis that convinces me he's gonna stay on the roster for very much longer.

He's had an entire career to cut down on the drops. Unfortunately that's just his MO. He could have made soem big-time plays for us last season if he didn't have butterfingers, especially in the clutch.

well in part he had 30 first dns on 37 catches which was top 10 in nfl percentage wise...he did have 6 or 7 drops last yr and 2 the yr before a few to many but not bad , a few came in tough situations i do agree, he also made tough catches ,

RWill is a big ol bag of drops, has been his whole career outside of one good year in Det. Dallas couldn't get rid of him soon enough; and no one was disappointed to see him go. If we are looking to upgrade the position, you first have to gut the problems, and he's one of them.

Or, you know, he could have just watched the games and seen him dropping big passes regularly for us with his own two eyes like everyone else here. In case you do need stats, he was officially 10th in the league (though we here all know that he dropped way more than 7) in drops and he was targeted far less than all but one of the WRs ahead of him on that list.
