Take this case, sure...VJack and Finnegan MAY find a team that wants/can use both of them, and it might all work out for the lovely couple. But in the process, how much money is VJack going to be leaving on the table? You can rest assured that whatever deal he gets as part of a duo, he could most certainly have done BETTER had he just gotten a deal for himself. Now, if the two guys are ok with that...then more power to em i guess, but most players are going to go for the best deal for themselves, because they know how short an NFL career is (one more reason this is different then the NBA)
Finnegan shot down the rumor on ESPN 1000

The Bears shouldn't look at Courland Finnegan, he want's to get paid a big fat 10millian, He's not a good CB that courtland finnegan, they should just draft a cb in the draft again, then to pay that a over rated courtland finnegan, begin again.

I agree with you. That would be another waste of money. You don't need lockdown corners in this Tampa 2 that CHI runs. I think a lot of Bears fans get way too caught up in players having made the Pro Bowl or having a name around the NFL. Finnegan is up there in age and not a very good fit for this defense. The Bears need to target defensive players that will work in the Tampa 2. You just don't go out and sign any Tom, Dick or Harry that's made a name for themselves. Its stupid to sign players that are not a good fit. The Bears have done that many tiems already just for the sake of being able to tell their fanbase that we went out and spent $$$. I have a good feeling that Emery is more level headed than most Bears fans and will not spend stupidly but more than Angelo did.

I've read that the Redskins are going to back up the money truck for VJ. He is known to overspend and if he is willing to do it again, we may end up backing off rather than overspend. Of course, he may be saying that hoping that we will back off. This is going to be interesting...

Kevin Acee of the Union-Tribune San Diego takes it a step further in a Sunday night report, confirming Chicago and Washington are expected to be Jackson’s two most aggressive pursuers and that the Redskins “will do almost whatever it takes” to land this year’s top free agent wideout.

well if they are going to overspend for VJax like they did WR a few years ago...one that was the IU QB....well they can have VJax and save the Bears from themselves again.
I like VJ, but not enough to break the Wash bank for him.

Yeah, I'd welcome Vjax with open arms, but I want no part of a bidding war for him. I'd rather get in a fight over Mario, and everyone knows how I feel about that potential signing.
The more time goes by and the more I think about it, the more I hope Meachem is the Bears #1 next season.

Here are the numbers for us and the Redskins. Not only does he like to spend money, he has more money under the cap to spend.
Redskins: $31.1 million under.
Bears: $22.6 million under.

I hope the skins overpay bigtime for VJax
