Sounds like good news for Forte, perhaps they are getting close to a long term deal.
Thanks for the job you did Marion, you did a pretty good job subbing in for Matt.
I know he messed up big in Denver but I really do like Barber. If it wasn't for that game I think he'd stick around.
good, he sucked anyways
I thought Barber played pretty well for us but no doubt he made some critical mistakes that cost us at least one and maybe two games. He wasn't the only reason but a big one.
I'm glad the team seems to be trimming expendable players and adding to cap space. Add Spaeth to that category.
My Aunt Marion is gonna be pissed!
He was good until he fell on his face.
He gave us some good effort as a short yardage back. He was a whole lot better at it than Chester Taylor. So that cut adds $2.625 mil back into the cap and if we get a $1.6 mil credit for the penalties Dallas and Washington got and add that to the $24 mil we're estimated to have after franchising Forte we add back $4.225 mil = $28.225 mil.
Edit: After Bell's tender we are still roughly $27 mil under the cap.
My guess is that Emery is getting ready to do some serious shopping come tomorrow. I'm beginning to believe he'll take a good run at MWill and then look for a LB (Hawthorne maybe) and a Safety or CB. If he can't land MWill, Bryant is intriuging as a big man who plays hard and fast althoug I don't see him as much as a 4-3 end as I do a DT.
Phil Emery 4-0
Barber was a solid player who made a ton of mistakes and on top of it was an asshole and a bad team mate.
When Jeff Dickerson hates you, you clearly wore out your welcome because he has love for Caleb Hanie.
