I just heard the Texans cut Erik Winston in an effort to shave cap space. Could this be a move to re-sign Williams at the last minute? Hell, lets grab both of them and put either he or Carimi on the left side. Winston is about the best RT in the league, so lets move him over to LT and call him John Tait.
The Greatest form of revenge is MASSIVE success.

Still rather get Nicks first. But, if true...then yeah, our DL will be downright SCARY. Probably going to have to have its own nickname soon enough.
And, as the NYG have shown us...an amazing DL can win championships.

26th Rated Pass O, which I admit needs help, but thats with Cutler being out! With Martz finally gone, and A simpler offense WITH audiables at the line. Dont forget even as shitty as it was, we were better than Playoff teams San Francisco and Denver!
Bennett coming back full strength and Cutler being good, with a better OL makes it better I think 15+ is within the realm of possiibility, WITHOUT major changes.
I would Love to see a revamp of the D honestly, Williams and in a dream scenario Carr from the Chiefs, with the Draft Landing us Dre Kirkpatrick, our D is restocked for years to come, which extends the window for the GM to build the offense into his vision!
Edit: Im not trying to attack anyone, just my thoughts on the matter!
I completely agree with you. Our O-line has a lot more talent than most fans realize. We have a lot of young guys that gained valuable game expereince this past year and 1 rookie who barely played at all. I'm telling you...this group is going to be real good very soon. Lance Louis is a guy he is going to be very special at guard. And Webb is still a work in progress and has the size and ability to be outstanding. People seem to forget that there were no minicamps last year. For young and inexpereinced guys, the lockout really hurt them bad. Besides, we're not running this Martz offense anymore that required so much time to allow so many plays to unfold. A lot of pass protection issues were due to that, not talent.

The OL was bad, it just wasn't as bad as the previous years...but it was still a bottom feeder last year...it needs help.
WR's suck suck and Bennet. They also need help. Ya 26th w/Forte and Cutler hurt, but they never cracked top 20 under Martz even when healthy.
As for Mwill, I'll beleive it when I see it, but if they do...wholly shit Emery is my new favorite Bear. And I'll buy a Jersey w/his name on it.

If this is true about Mario (a big "if" still), then we do need to be O-heavy on the rest of the offseason. The offense isn't a disaster but it does need help.
Sign a 2nd tier WR (Meacham is my choice) in FA and then go OL/WR or WR/OL in rounds 1-2 depending on player availability. Something like...
Hill/Floyd
Zeitler/Osemele/Brooks
Or
Glenn/DeCastro/Konz
McNutt/MJones
...Would be damn good. A CB in top 3 to compete with Jennings next. See soon if this is real or not.

YAY! Now we can have a GM just like the last one, and not worry about what a good offense looks like, cause we're building yet another defense....JK, we're not gonna sign him.

Cart---horse. Watch, Emery is just using this as a ruse and sign someone completely different.
Arguing on the internet is like winning the special olympics, even if you win your still messed up.
Restore the roar!

Even if we sign Mario there is a long offseason to fix the offense.
