A Small Dose of Reality...........
I hate to throw water on the flames of the Marshall trade but that's what is was, a trade. We have yet to sign a FA other than our own. If MWill is off the table we need to move on and look at other DE's and a LB like Hawthorne. I'd still like to be in a position of not needing to select a certain position in the first round of the draft.
I'm getting to that age where a lifetime warranty just doesn't mean as much to me anymore as an afternoon nap.

I was just saying a few seconds ago. We need to make some moves, even if it's not MWill (please be MWill) we need to start making stuff happen.

Soul, tried to tell you we weren't going to get him. Really haven't been that many signed FA's so far. Garcon' and is about the only one...w/VJ in deep talks w/TB. There is plenty of FA's still out there, even the top ones.

Yeah, well not a lot of moves have been made league-wide outside of the WR runs.

The FA period just started. Let's take a chill pill. We don't know every detail of what is happening behind the scenes.

I agree, and why does it matter how we come about players?

I'm not all that concerned. This is more of an FYI. What I get so far taking stock from what's happened is this.
A) We bought ourselves a WR for two 3rd round picks and a willingness to pay him $9 mil per year. Whether this proves to be a good move or not depends heavily of how well Marshall behaves once he gets here. He's capable of being one of the best WR in the NFL but also capable of being a huge pain in the ass ala T.O. and Randy Moss.
B) The guy I really think we should get is considering trading in his ten gallon hat for a snow shovel. I could see him re-signing with Texas but losing him to the Bills isn't something we should let go down.
I'm OK with the Marshall trade. It was a gutsy move and virtually guarantees Cutler will extend his contract next year but I still have my concerns about Marshall's Mr Hyde side showing up.
The fact that we're not in full sail after others tells me that MWill and the Bills are still not a sure thing but I'd have plan B ready to go if it does come down that way.

I'm super happy with Marshall trade. Cutler kept him in check in Denver and he has finally been diagnosed and is not being treated for his disorders.

LOL, somedays keeping him in check is about the same as lassoing a Greyhound Bus. We can only hope he matured and has a way of controlling his mood swings. BPD's are a handful and that comes from personal experience.
