I would be completely and utterly shocked if he signed with the Bears. Seems like he would want to be the main guy somewhere.

Maybe he is going to be the main guy. We haven't heard a word from anyone on how the Forte deal is going.

If he's willing to come for the right money a Forte/Bush combo would be nasty. Especially in the cold months, punishing rushing attack.

Even if we don't secure a long term deal he's still our starter this year. I'm sure we'll work something out eventually, right now we're focusing on free agency. I think Emery knows what Forte is to the team and he'll fix him up accordingly.

Love Michael Bush, hate this idea.
For the kind of money he will require, this would be a total Luxury signing by the Bears. We have a jack-of-all-trades guy already here in Chicago. Add something to the mix that we don't already have.
Waste.

If Forte ends up holding out we will need more than Bell. Who knows what's happening behind the scenes. I haven't heard anything on Forte signing an extension today. This working for a living is rough! Lol

I was thinking we would look at Tolbert.

I definitely wouldn't pay him very much. He did a mediocre job stepping in for the hurt McFadden last year for the Raiders. Who knows? He may work well for us. Since we are still very much a run team we need to find another RB that is equal to his ability or even better and try not to overspend in the process. I think it can be done.

Tolbert would fit us like a glove. He's a punisher with good hands and we need that.
