These guys are the ones that I think the Bears could be in play for and that I would be very interested in seeing the Bears go after.

Sign Royal or Lloyd. Sign Wimbley when/if released. Resign Davis and Okoye. Sign Hawthorne. If we're going OL get Grubbs or Bell if we're going secondary get Landry or Marshall.
If we get Winston where does Carimi play?
-
What are people's opinions of signing Winston and allowing Carimi to compete at LT?
-
winston was cut cause he failed a physical

Lloyd can die in a tire fire before he rejoins the bears. Give me Royal and if possible, McNeil and Grubbs. Those last two will solidify the left side of the line.

Rumor has it that Tice will try CWill at LT to compete with Webb. It's really about time we gave that a try because there isn't a better solution in FA and the only two that may be better solutions in the draft we won't even get near.
If we aren't signing MWll then we should either be re-signing Okoye unless Emery plans to go after a 3t DT in the draft like Fletcher Cox. Okoye is young and showed some skills as a pass rusher playing at UT size rather than NT size as he did in Houston.
Cutler is stumping for Royal and I'm amazed we haven't signed him yet. Lloyd has already been through Chicago and I wouldn't want him back. He's not better than Bennett and we just spent two draft choices and a ton of $$$ on Marshall. If not Royal then we pick up a guy in the draft. Royal and Bennett along with Marshall give us three guys at receiver who all have a successful history with Cutler and Royal and Bennett are a nice hedge against Marshall going of the deep end.
Of the defensive guys left on your list I'd like to see Hawthorne at LB and Wimbley at DE provided we've really dropped out of the MWill sweepstakes and with the proviso that the guy can play from a 3 point stance. Izzy is an option and I think since he want to return he won't be all that much in demand.
Let's see what Davis is getting in the way of offers and if it's not ridiculous get him signed, cut Spaeth and elevate Andre Smith to the blocking TE position. That's an upgrade at best and a cheaper lateral at it's worst.

soul if its true the offer skins gave royal was 2 years 12 mil would you really compete with that offer? Or do you think that large number was thrown out there by skins to scare people off
-
Maybe royal but id rather see them stay out of fa wrs now amd grab one at 19 to fill the other wr
-
Simple question.
Go after SS LaRon Landry and draft a CB or sign CB Tracy Porter and draft a SS?
Edit: What are the chances Corey Graham will be back next season?

I think it's accurate mo. Right after we heard the news he'd turned it down they signed Josh Morgan for the same amount and term. I researched the contracts of these 2nd tier guys and on average they're getting $6-$7 mil per year with the majority of them being 5 year deals. Even Carlson got $5 mil per as a TE.
Based on what Royal is looking for we'll have to pass. We just gave Bennett and extension worth $4.5 mil per year so it would be hard to give Royal more than that as a #3 or slot guy. I can't believe these #2 guys are getting $6-$7 mil per year. Makes the Marshall deal look like a bargain if we can keep him under control.
Easier said than done though.
