He and the Skins had a big falling out over his Achilles injury treatment. They wanted him to have surgery to re-anchor it and he took the advice of a second opinion and chose alternative treatment that has seen promising success instead of taking the chance with the loss of athletic function that comes with said surgery. It's probably a moot point right now, though, because he's visiting the Pats tomorrow and will probably sign there over us with all things being equal.

Thanks bro. I knew you'd have an answer just didn't know if you were on. Hey, what do you have on this kid Fletcher Cox? He's rated pretty high by NFP and if by chance we don't recapture Okoye we may in the market for a DT/DE who can play a 3t game. Any opinions on him?
I'm getting to that age where a lifetime warranty just doesn't mean as much to me anymore as an afternoon nap.

He's a hell of a 3T spect, in a good DT class, but I wan't no part of another DT early with all our other holes. Plus Paea really came on strong down the stretch and I want him to keep that increased role. Just re-sign Okoye, I don't see a big contract coming this way and he was very solid for us.

Just thinking about him IF we didn't sign Okoye and the need for another 3T. Looks like they gonna work Paea mostly at NT in rotation with Toe so that leaves us one short in the rotation. If Perry was there I'd probably take him but between Mercilus and Cox what do you do. Play it safe or play the upside?

I think the bucs have a legit interest in okoye cause their star dt I believe tore his acl last year. They are the biggest competition I see for his services.

Well, I hope Paea has the same skill set as him, because I don't think Okoye will stay here if he's gonna be the number one talent and highest paid on the bucs d-line. They can certainly afford to outbid us on anyone...

Well idk what the Bucs could afford remember that injured DT was a top 3 pic before the new rookie wage scale so okoye could be using them to make us up our bid. Either way I think he owes us for giving him the opportunity to revitalize his career and he isnt playing next to peppers over there
