1[19] DE Whitney Mercilus [Illinois] 6'4" 265lbs.

The Bears have added a #1 WR in Brandon Marshall, but they have not added a pass rusher opposite of Peppers. Idonije is a great locker room guy and run defender, but he lacks the speed to take advantage of the match ups that he gets. Mercilus is a pure speed rusher with the physical tools to turn into a monster with Marinelli's coaching.



2[50] CB Josh Robinson [UCF] 5'10" 200lbs.

The Bears need someone to compete with Kelvin Hayden to start opposite of Charles Tillman. Robertson has the size and physicality to play in the Cover 2 and he has the speed [4.29 40] to play the man coverage the Bears have gone to recently.




3[80] OT Mitchell Schwartz [Cal] 6'5" 317lbs.

The Bears need some depth and competition at the OT positions to push Webb and cover us in case Carimi gets injured again. Schwartz might not scream LT, but he is a Matt Light type technician that can play all over the line.



4. WR A.J Jenkins [Illinois] 6' 190lbs.

The Bears add more depth and speed to their WR core in Jenkins who has great speed and playmaking ability and can provide depth out on the edge.



5. LB Danny Trevathan [Kentucky] 6' 237lbs.

The Bears need depth at the LB position and Trevathan has been scouted by the Bears. He can be developed as a defensive player while he contributes on special teams.



6. S Tysyn Hartman [Kansas St] 6'3" 208lbs.

The Bears need to add depth to their safety position with the constantly injured Major Wright starting. Hartman has the size that the Bears love at safety and can be a special teams player right away.



7. CB Robert Golden [Arizona] 5'11" 200lbs.

The Bears need bodies at the CB position and they add another player with starting quality physical skills.
