How valuable is a 5th, 6th, or 7th round pick? Those are spots where you're usually looking for bargains. With the trend toward bigger receivers smaller talent will fall and some become very good value in later rounds. It's not so much the huge need as it is to create competition for that spot.

Bennett who has been playing in the slot should be moved to Flanker to pair up with Marshall which puts our two best guys on the field as starters. Then basically who you have in the slot is Sanz in all likelihood along with Weems who isn't a very experienced WR. Hester is a guy you can move around to take advantage of mismacthes and if Knox is healthy he backs up on the outside.

Taking a slot guy that late in the draft is one of those BPA value picks. You're looking at those guys as potential ST guys as well. Drafting a WR that late isn't any more of a waste than selecting Enderle was last year. He was a Martz pick, Martz is gone and so will he.
I'm getting to that age where a lifetime warranty just doesn't mean as much to me anymore as an afternoon nap.

I'm fine with trading down and getting a wr in the last 1st/early 2nd, but I don't think we have a WR corp good enough to go as is.

that's right, but I've talked about the early picks. Haven't made it clear, sorry for that. Drafting a guy in the 5th or 6th Round is all good and fine, but they won't be better than any WR we already have signed on the Roster. We have signed 6 WRs already and our team has bigger needs than WR to draft them with our 1st or 2nd

I don't think the guys they list are WR who will go very early unless one or two just standout above the rest. These guys are role player types like Sanz when we scooped him up. He's a guy who was on a list like this one last years and he didn't even get drafted. Some of these guys won't as well.

Rainey is one of the most exciting players I've ever seen. He is a guy the Bears should seriously be looking to grab with their 3rd pick. I understand all his durability issues but the guy is an explosive RB and has amazing moves in the open field. He would be a serious weapon for the Bears if used correctly.
