When it comes down to it, just go bpa in the draft and we'll have a successfull draft. If that means taking OL or DL or WR or DB in the first so be it, whoever is ranked highest grab him.
There is a lot of talk of Dallas taking DeCastro down here, JJ wants to give his QB time to throw the ball w/out running for his life.

We still have Sanz who will be better than last year and Davis is big enough, fast enough and has OK hands to become a guy that the other teams will watch out for.
if we draft a OG, it is DeCastro or nobody else. DeCastro could be a ProBowler as Rookie...
As I mentioned NO one respects Devin Hester even with all of his speed. That is why Earl Bennett, our slot WR and possession guy, was double teamed most of last season.
I doubt Hester fits into the WR conversation for more than 5 trick plays and deep routes a game, he even seems resigned to his total failure as a WR.

I don't know that I'd call him a total failure as a WR. He's been horribly misused in that regard the entire time he's been here. I saddle JA with some of that. When he gave him his $40mil deal it became necessary to justify it by saying he was our #1 WR even when we all knew that was a bunch of crap.
Turner couldn't make that work and neither could Martz but that doesn't mean he's been completely useless. He's just not a #1 WR at either the X or Flanker positions. Hell, he wasn't even a receiver in college he was a backup CB and that he did completely fail at as a pro.
His game is based on getting him the ball where he has room to use his speed and elusiveness to gain YAC and also to create huge mismatches in coverage. We could never do that before because no one really respected whoever was playing opposite him. Now they're forced to do that once you put Bennett and Marshall out there with him. I think he and Sanz will benefit most as far as playing with Marshall and Bennett on the field with them as long as Hester lines up in the slot most of the time. He's not as frail as Knox and more equipt to catch over the middle on quick slants or crossing routes where he'll have some open field around him to use. Get rid of those stupid bubble screens they called too.
He's never gonna be anything but your #3 guy and in actuality he never has been no matter what JA claimed. It's just that we've been looking at him that way because that's what we were told. Look at him as a #3 guy and he's not all that unproductive.

The Bears need another legitmiate threat on the outside to keep teams from double teaming Brandon Marshall. If you want to see Marshall dominate you need to make sure that people worry about the other side.
Haha, you can't even double team Marshall and stop him. He's quick, strong, and has hands that could crush a walnut. He's was double teamed here in Denver which is one reason why Royal caught 91 balls his rookie year and that still didn't keep him from gaining over 1200 yards. Last year he gained over 1200 yards in Miami with little help and Matt Moore as his QB.
Brandon Marshall was "Megatron" before Calvin Johnson became "Megatron" and he'll be open enough to make everyone happy. If you team him up with Earl Bennett as the other starter you'll have two very dangerous WR's both of who Cutler has an infinite amount of trust in and you'll never see many drops out of either. My guess is that Hester will be used in a completely different way than he has in the past.
Now we actually have a guy who will catch 80 passes a year rather than one who Martz said could do it.

Remember when martz was first hired he said he envisioned Hester as his slot guy like az hakim was......do you remember how quickly lovie and ja refuted that and said he is the number one wr? Many people saw he wasn't a number one but the powers that be forced it no matter how much it
made no sense. I just hope we are past that now that we have two real wrs

This is exactly how I feel.
I think people are way off thinking that we are set at WR for this season simply with Marshall's addition. Shoot Marshall could be getting a 6 game suspension like Roethlesberger did. The NFL doesn't find these flaps to be funny anymore and he's a repeat offender. And I'm with you a another legitimate threat is needed. Hester simply does not deliver when he's on the field. I like the fact that teams have to respect his speed but he makes very few plays as a WR.
