Urlacher Hasnt fully recovered
I dont reading anyhtign like this, i think it may be time we push him to LOLB and get a big nasty MOFO in the middle to place him, i hope he isnt ging to have a season lingering injury. Not what i wanted to hear
Bears MLB Brian Urlacher admitted Tuesday he hasn't fully recovered from the knee injury he suffered in Week 17 last season.
Bears coach Lovie Smith claimed in late February that Urlacher was "completely healthy" after tearing his left MCL and PCL, but Urlacher said in a Tuesday radio interview there are things he still can't do. "I haven't pushed it," Urlacher said. "I've kind of laid off of it. There's no reason to rush it right now. It was a pretty good injury." Urlacher said he will participate in the Bears' offseason program. Even if he doesn't, he should be ready for training camp. Mar 20 - 12:32 PM

With an injury like that so few return with the quickness they once had. Hope his health improves. I know Lovie is already looking for a replacement.

Time to draft his replacement

I dont think he would make sense playing OLB.
But yes, eventually we are going to have to draft a replacement. But i dont think this is the year to do it, too many other needs to address first. Perhaps next year.

I'm not worried about him. He's a warrior who loves to play the game. Whatever he may have lost in speed he's made up for in instincts and experience. He's a much better MLB than he would be on the outside and it's his ability to drop into coverage almost like another Safety that makes him as valuable to Lovies defense as he is. A Ray Lewis type couldn't play his role in this defense.
I'm getting to that age where a lifetime warranty just doesn't mean as much to me anymore as an afternoon nap.

Just listened to the interview, he didn't sound worried at all. Obviously he's not gonna go into too much detail but for real, listening to it is way worse than reading it.

I had a very similar injury to Urlacher's a few years back that occurred while doing hack squats. It takes a few months, even with anti-inflammatory meds, to fully recover. Considering he didn't completely tear his MCL and PCL, there really is nothing to worry about. He'll be 100% soon.

I hope you're right. He is the heart of our defense.

He's crazy. I hope we can win him a ring this next year. If we get somebody half as good as him to replace him, we'll be lucky.
