Look, Forte is just using the wrong argument to get into the real crux of the matter, is he worth more than the offer? Well, we don't know what the offer is, nor do we know what affects the Angelo regime had on Forte's happiness in Chicago. We can speculate all we want, and are all mostly wrong, but i will add this, I think it's odd that everyone is painting Forte as a petulant "diva", but all year, the phrase was "Pay that Man" was said with every big play he made.
It's just the boneheaded moves that they've made in the past that makes me shake my head every time I think of trading a guy like Forte. I know it's a different day (under Emery), but like old wounds on rainy days...I can't help that aching feeling.
@ jackiejokman - sitting on a Dynasty?!?! I mean, it's been a great off season so far, but...not THAT great.
ADD: About some turning on Forte...I can't help but think it was his comment about "nice...finish last." No matter who's mouth it comes out of, that cliche statement has always came off as the biggest cry-baby, whoa-is-me, pity-party statement that you could come up with.
said last year if he was going to hold out he should have done it last then, not wait until they could hit him w/the FT. And only MJD/Ray Rice have been close in % of offense as Forte. But obviously Forte is just average.....8o
