The All Rumor Mock Draft
This mock draft is totaly built with rumors of people the Bears have been interested in or have spoken to directly during the Pro Day process.
Free Agents
CB Kelvin Hayden [1 year 2 million]
DT Amobi Okoye [2 years 7 million]
Draft
1[19] WR Kendall Wright [Baylor] 5'10" 200lbs.
The Bears have Brandon Marshall at the #1 spot and they have Earl Bennett in the slot, but they do not have a #2 that will force teams to cover the entire field. Kendall Wright provides a deep threat with the toughness and strength to run the routes that Knox and Hester to cross the middle and run the WR screens. The Bears are in an arms race with the Packers and Lions and they need more weapons.

2[50] OG Brandon Brooks [Miami Ohio] 6'5" 353lbs.
The Bears have an average group of interior OLmen and they have no one who can get a push on 4th and 2. Brooks has an incredible blend of size, strength and athletic ability [4.98 40]. Brooks can come in and step in at LT and allow C. Williams to compete with Webb at LT and hopefully improve that position.

3[80] DE Bruce Irvin [West Virginia] 6'2" 250lbs.
The Bears re-signed Israel idonije to start at LE, but they need someone who can rotate with him that can rush the passer. Irvin is an undersized pass rusher with incredible speed [4.5 40]. Irvin only has to play passing downs and can concentrate on being the pass rush specialist that Mark Anderson was in the Superbowl year.

4. LB Keenan Robinson [Texas] 6'1" 242lbs.
The Bears need depth at LB and they need someone who can either develop at the WLB or MLB spots. Robinson has played both positions and has the size and speed to project at both positions.

5. CB/FS Neiko Thorpe [Auburn] 6'2" 198lbs.
The Bears need to add depth to the CB and the FS positions and Thorpe has played both for the Bears. Thorpe has the size and speed that the Bears look for in the secondary players.

6. DE Olivier Vernon [Miami] 6'3" 268lbs.
The Bears continue to ass athletic pass rushers for Rod Marinelli to work with. Vernon did not play a ton at Miami, but he has NFL physical tools that can ve developed.

7. CB Conroy Black [Utah] 6' 190lbs.
More depth at CB and specials teams a possible replacement for Corey Graham.

Cheap pick up who could battle and win position battle with Jennings. Perfect Cover-2 corner and for the price he'd be a great pick-up.

so basically the samething as Jennings lol I think better going with the draft

How is that the same as Jennings? He could win against Jennings, meaning a better player. Plus he's got much better size than Jennings. If he loses he provides the Bears valuable depth. We could get Hayden and then we're not handcuffed to getting a corner higher, we can get one when its possible. Plus if Jennings went down would you rather have Hayden playing or a rookie? I'll take a seasoned vet and add a rookie in the draft who won't be depended upon year one if injuries happen.

I'm expecting a Forte trade mock here real soon.
Arguing on the internet is like winning the special olympics, even if you win your still messed up.

I hope not. The running game gets a big boost with the Bush signing to go with Forte if he stays. I'd hate to see him go and hope the draft shakes out similar to the OP. But my first three choices would be Hill, Chandler Jones, and B.Washington. Went to the same high school as Chandler and regularly see his brother Jonny "Bones" Jones out on the town here in Endicott, NY. That's obviously a homer pick but if he falls, he could be an incredibly good grab in the middle 2nd round, IMHO. He works out like crazy with Jonny and his older brother Art that plays DE for the Ravens. I like Hill because of his size and speed...Cutler said he wanted some bigger guys, well hell...give him 2 beasts in Marshall and Hill to see what he could do. Otherwise, I like the back end of your mock...I'd be very happy with that draft.

if he got Floyd or Wright, and Dwayne Allen in the draft, Cutler would have a significantly better receiver corp than Chicago has seen in recent memory. The drawback, yet another mediocre line to throw behind. IDK tho, the Steelers have survive with really good receivers and bad offensive linemen, and they came away 2/3 in recent super bowls.
