The critics have been very harsh on the Bears' O-line and they have assesed it poorly. Some of the main pieces on that line are young, but the talent is there. A crappy line doesn't help a team run for over 2000yds on the ground and that's an accomplishment that continues to be minimized by many. I will be saying "I told you so" later on this year.
What? I dont think the bar for probowls is set that low.

Besides, their problems extended far beyond simple injuries. They lack talent. They can be a "decent" OL, sure...but they dont have the talent to be anything spectacular. Cutler's perpetual love affair with being planted into the ground by a defender is proof of that.

I'm actually open to the line being decent this year. They did have a decent run last year with some of their best players out. I can't remember if they were playing any teams with really good DLs during that time, but it is possible that they will be ok.

However, even with a change in scheme I still think they could use some dominant players. It could use some improvement for sure.

Remember how we shut down the vaunted eagles pass rush, last season.

I don't know, the guy sure has a hard time knowing where to line up on the field... several years after being moved to WR. He's also not good at running the right route.

I'm thinking his return abilites are a combination of quickness and instinctiveness. I seriously doubt he would be a good mentor to anyone.

Most of his issues when lining up happened when he switched to the position, and shortly thereafter. WR is a difficult position, sure...one of the hardest in the NFL, so i would expect most players to struggle when put in that position.

As far as his route running goes, same thing could be said...struggled at first (understandable), but has become much better at it. unfortunately, he is not a #1 WR...doesnt have the height so itzs easy for defenders to key on him and disrupt the pass.

But yes, his return skills are a combination of quickness and instinct. Im just not one of the people who thinks he is "dumb." I know he sucks at interviews, but ive read others where he sounds like he definitely knows what he is talking about.

To say they lack talent just isn't true. I've read all the interviews that Tice has given pubicly and he has lauded the talent of Webb, Louis, E. Williams, Carimi and Chris Williams at G. I'll trust his opinion over those of Bears' fans that are very impatient with the development of these guys.
