Gil Brandt: Floyd > Blackmon? Lovie at ND pro-day, Floyd shines

NFL.com Blogs » Blog Archive Floyd dazzles at Notre Dame pro day, could go before Blackmon «

Apparently Lovie was at the Notre Dame pro day and Floyd excelled. I know we have other needs but just for one sec thin kwhat our offense would be like with both Floyd and Marshall at WR! ouch!

if there isnt the player we want at 19th pick for either DE or O-line would we go with Floyd if he is there? interesting.

Unfortunately we might not have Marshal; I know I know he wasn't charged, but I don't believe Big Ben was either. What Marshal does have is a history of this, and Goodell doesn't have a problem w/making examples even if it's not justified.

I still don't see us going w/Floyd, I see DE/DT in our 1st round future. Wouldn't mind a WR or OT or OG or DB if that is best on the board at that time though.

Blackmon will go before Floyd, that's stupid. But yeah, I'd love to have floyd, however, just because he seems to be very similar in play to Brandon Marshall, and having two of that type of receiver is not bad at all for a receiving corps, esp. near the goal line.

The 'Marshall incident' seems a bit tenuous to me but i agree that Goodell isnt backwards about coming forwards when it comes to handing out arbitrary bans. I'm hoping he'll avoid sanctions but i'm braced for the worst. I like that we're going in with a few choices. I've seen drafts having Coples, floyd or De castro falling to us. I'd be happy with any of those.

I know Floyd is more polished but Hill is pretty darn intriguing. If only Drake were gone I'd be shouting to get this guy.
Arguing on the internet is like winning the special olympics, even if you win your still messed up.

Floyd is the best WR in the draft and people that have watched Floyd and Blackmon play, know it.

This talk of Floyd going first is much like the RGIII talk by the colts...

You never know man. Dez Bryant's draft day fall should have never happened. The guy was a stud coming out of college yet he did fall badly. The draft can be so unpredictable some times.

Two reasons why Dez Bryant dropped:
    1. He chose not to work out at the NFL scouting combine.
    2. He was suspended his last season for lying to NCAA investigators about his relationship with former NFL player Deion Sanders.

He was favored to be picked up quick but these two things had an impact.
