I'm currently passing a hat around to see if we can generate enough money to hire Angelo as a tackling dummy.

Good move. pity about Okoye but as mentioned above, we can now go bpa on DE,DT,OL and maybe WR in draft. should give us a few options and let us choose someone we like rather than reach

This is all well and good, but can we guarantee that Kelvin Hayden will play more than two-thirds of a season? Last I looked, he rarely ever played an entire season in Indianapolis over the past three to four seasons.
This has Jerry Angelo written all over if I ever saw a move in my life.

Well if you're going to bring in people for a supporting role, bring in people that know your system. Its a good move. The Bears are committed to the version of the Tampa 2 that they run. You should only be bringing in people that can function in that system.

Hayden was pretty bad last season with the Falcons, though he was recovering from injury. At the very least he gives us a solid backup (and if he's healthy, a likely improvement over Zach Bowman) if one of Tillman or Jennings gets hurt. I don't see him beating out anyone for a starting job though. Jennings is very underrated by a lot of Bears fans...I guess because of his size and stone hands, but he's one of the better tacklers on this team, isn't out of position often and plays very well within the Cover 2.
If the Bears add a Safety in the draft to cover for the inevitable Major Wright injury then they'll have a nice secondary with good depth.

It will be interesting to see how they utilize Hayden, and whether he will be healthy enough to play a full season. If he's well, he's a lot better than Tim Jennings.
The Bears should strongly consider getting a safety through free agency, though, and not the draft, though I suspect that they might be too far gone in the salary cap to purchase the services of a solid safety. I guess we'll have to waste another draft pick this year on a safety like we have for the past 100 years. (Damn you, Major Wright, for sucking and staying injured!)

Who is he? I've Googled him and didn't find him anywhere except for in an archived article in The Rocky Mountain News from 2008, so that information is outdated.
