CB Kelvin Hayden agreed to terms with Bears on a 1yr deal
#Bears have agreed to terms with CB Jonathan Wilhite on one-year contract.

Hayden is solid and can compete with Tim Jennings as the #2 CB.
It also removes CB as a serious need heading into the draft and allows the Bears to focus on the DL and Offense.

I like this move, he knows Cover 2 and can be a solid starter and means we will need to address Corner until late in the draft. I wonder how much money he has got?

He's a native Chicagoan, went to College in Illinois and knows the Cover 2.

I like Bowman, gets me lots of picks in Madden. Hayden is a better fit for the system though, so I'm glad to see the move.

I agree. I'm bummed about the likely loss of Okoye but this helps a bit. I see the Bears top draft needs now as:
DE
DT
LB
OL
WR
In some order depending on player availability. Maybe grab a DB late in the draft but those 5 look higher in priority to me.

Yeah, the best player available out of those 5 positions would be the perfect pick at 19 and for the second round.

Update: The Bears double-dipped into the CB market Thursday, agreeing to terms with unrestricted free agent Jonathan Wilhite on a one-year deal.
By the way, Hayden's contract is worth a veteran minimum $825,000, according to a source familiar with the situation.

CB 6-0 195 Vet - Hayden
CB 5-11 185 Vet - Wilhite
I'm currently passing a hat around to see if we can generate enough money to hire Angelo as a tackling dummy.
