The Aggressive Mock Draft
*Trade* The Chicago Bears trade 1[19] and 2[50] to the Seattle Seahawks for 1[12] and 4[111].
1[12] DE Melvin Ingram [South Carolina] 6'2" 272lbs.
All Bears fans agree that the Bears need a dominant pass rusher to pair with Julius Peppers. But we spend our time arguing over DEs with serious question marks and red flags. I say that we should get aggressive make a move and get the pass rusher that we need. Ingram is they most talented pass rusher in the draft, he can rush from all over the field and mulitple positions. He makes up for his lack of ideal height with great speed, explosion and strength. We do not need a developmental player we need someone who will have an impact day 1.

3[80] WR A.J Jenkins [Illinois] 6' 190lbs.
The Bears need added depth at WR and they need a player that can take the top off of the defense and Jenkins can do both of those things. Jenkins has the speed and ability to make big plays against zone defense and allow for Marshall and Bennett to work the underneath routes.

4. OT/OG Levy Adcock [Oklahoma St] 6'5" 332lbs.
The Bears add depth and size to their OL with Adcock who can play RT and OG. Adcock's versatility makes him a nice addition to the Bears as he can compete at LG allowing Chris Williams to compete at LT and he can back up Carimi at RT.

4. DT Jaye Howard [Florida] 6'3" 302lbs.
With the loss of Okoye the Bear are thing at DT and Howard showed at the Senior Bowl that he has the burst and power to disrput the pocket and play the 3 technique.

5. LB Travis Lewis [OU] 6'1" 246lbs.
The Bears add a versatile player in Lewis who has played WLB and MLB for the Sooners. Lewis can be worked out at WLB or MLB and developed behind our veteran group.

6. CB Omar Bolden [Arizona St] 5'10" 202lbs.
The Bears have signed a number of CBs for depth recently, but neither is a long term starter. Bolden would be drafted much higher if he had not missed the season with an injury. Bolden has the size and physicality to play in the Cover 2 and is worth the risk at this pick.

7. LB Adrien Cole [Louisiana Lafeyette] 5'11" 250lbs.
The Bears need to add a number of young developmental LBs in later rounds in a hope of hitting a home run in the 2-3 years that they still have Briggs and Urlacher. Cole might not look the part, but he is a football player that makes plays.

I like this mock but one problem is I think we need a bit more depth at safety and I would like to see Robert Blanton in the 7th.

If they wait until the 7th to grab a safety you'll be lucky to get depth much less help and the revolving safety door would continue.
Arguing on the internet is like winning the special olympics, even if you win your still messed up.

Id Take floyd if we moved up hes the best mix of filling a need and lowest risk of usgetting burned on a bust

I think Bears should sign Floyd if they move up to 12. Floyd & Marshall would be deadly. Cutler would be named to another probowl, he would set chicago bear passing records and touchdown records. But then again we do need a DE,CB,and DT. If we move up that close to number 12. We could get Couples or Ingram at DE. Stephen Gilmore or Dre Kirkpatrick at CB, and most likely get a chance to get Dontari Poe or Fletcher Cox. Any of those guys would help our team alot. I have been getting frustrated on who we should get. Almost every mock draft I see there is like Michael Floyd at #19. And then another there is Whitney Mercillius. But personally I would get Michael Floyd if he was still there.

I would move up for these guys.
Whenever I do a mock I am left sitting at 19 picking a player that is not a top tier player. I do not want a risk like Mercilus when I can make a move and get Ingram.
I think DE is a bigger need than WR and if we move up it will be for a DE.

I'd be surprised if either Travis Lewis or Omar Bolden are available in the 5th & 6th...I've seen them both going in the 4th in other mocks.
Love the Ingram pick. I know a lot of people think he's undersized and better suited to playing in a 3-4, but he's an athletic freak and has the upside of someone like Dwight Freeney.

we ain't gonna get floyd tho. He will be a desperation pick early in the draft...

Moving up would be a bit of a bold move . Emery has already showed some boldness with his moves. Question is ... does he stay bold ? Or does he reign it in and sit tight and draft in the spots he already has, thinking " I've been bold enough already " . He'd have to be really sold on a guy to make the deal ( and he better pan out ).
I'd do it. No guts no glory.
What should you call any : Fumble , Hold , Interception , Three and out , or Sack ?
A " F.H.I.T.S " ? or a J'Marcus ?
