Would you be in favor of a draft lottery
As we get closer to the draft I begin to look at that num 12 pick and think if only we "evaluated talent" and started Enderly against Minnesota in that meaningless game and had amuch better pick
Would you guys like to see a non playoff team lottery for picks 1-20 because i think its more exciting and IMO more games are thrown than we realize when teams are eliminated
Other sports do it and i hope the nfl implements it so im not finding myself half rooting against the bears after they are out of the postseason

No I don't want a lottery. And I agree with you, I wanted Enderle playing in that last game. I wish Lovie sat al the notable starters because we'd have that #12 spot secured and there would be no concern about being in position to draft Michael Floyd. But Lovie blew it so we need to get over it.

I agree. Said it before and I'll say it again. If there was ever a time to play either Hanie or Enderle, that was the game.

I am not for the lottery. I'm happy with the way things are. Even if you get a great pick doesn't mean he's going to pan out. Look at Tebow for example. Sure, Denver sold a lot of tickets but luck got them through to the post season and they were a decent team without him. Lovie's job is in jeopardy so he isn't going to race for the bottom once we were knocked out of the playoffs. And I think giving some play time and experience to the guys you know will be around next year is the best thing you can do. The Packers do that a lot. But owners want to see more wins than loses every year. You'll never hear them say "oh we had a losing season but only because we wanted a better draft position".

It's worked well for the Bulls I know that :-)
However with a 16 game season I'd say no. It could cause too many teams to stay down too long
What should you call any : Fumble , Hold , Interception , Three and out , or Sack ?
A " F.H.I.T.S " ? or a J'Marcus ?

It's worked well for the Knicks too. That's how they got Patrick Ewing.

I mean you would have to weigh it bottom 5 get 4 entries 6-10 get 3 11-15 get 2 and 16-20 get one
That makes it more exciting for everyone and dosent reward the worst team in the league
Also you can root for your eleminated team instead of jockying for picks

Well I think we all know that Lovie Smith will never intentionally boot a game. It's not in his character to do it.
We would be in a better spot if we drafted at #11 or #12 but regardless of that we're still gonna get a very good football player at #19. What making a pick at that spot so interesting is the number of conceivable picks we could make there. Have you guys been following the gurus. Nobody seems to agree on who or even what position we'll draft.
This is way better than it was when JA was here. He's wasn't nearly as effective at hiding his intentions as Emery is. Emery pretty much stays out of the spotlight and out of interviews whereas JA always had to let people know he was involved and he talked way too much. So far Emery has been a far better poker player.
The needs couldn't be more obvious but still the press puts out a different story with a different pick everyday. He got them truly stumped so far and I like it.
I don't have any strong feelings about a lottery one way or another. The system in place works and as stodgy as the NFL has become I don't see them even considering a change like that.
I'm getting to that age where a lifetime warranty just doesn't mean as much to me anymore as an afternoon nap.

No draft lottery. Especially not with 20 teams.
